“Great place to stay in Palm Springs!”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

For what this place is, it is great!! (It is a family owned hotel, not the Four Seasons.) We really enjoyed our stay here. The people who own and run the place are really great -- very kind, very available, very helpful. The hotel is super clean and very comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and they all are around a pool (heated). The hotel is very close to downtown -- about a mile away. Parking is free and easy downtown, so it was very convenient. Also, they provide a free limo service if you didn't drive or you don't feel like driving.
We are looking forward to returning.

The hotel has a lovely patio area with large heated pool and hot tub. Includes a few extra personal touches like nice bedding, flowers and gas fire pits in the patio area, and good coffee. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

My fiance and I stayed at the Desert Riviera back in May for one night. This time, we stayed four nights--and we brought along my sister (who stayed in our room), my dad (who stayed in the next room over), and my mom (who stayed across the street at their "sister" hotel, the Hotel California. We were treated exceptionally from the minute we arrived, as we had been in May, but this time we figured they might get sick of us. If they did, they didn't show it! The heated pool and hot tub were great, our room was spacious and comfy, and the amenities (including a couple of special Christmas surprises) were fabulous. The family that runs these two hotels know what they're doing. They definitely deserve to be rated #1 and #2 in Palm Springs!

Room Tip: Room 9 was a bit more expensive, but it was very large, with a nice kitcheonette.

There are so many hotels to choose from in Palm Springs that this quiet, unassuming, retro little hotel could easily get overlooked, but the owners and manager discovered that personalized service in an impersonal world make this small hotel stand tall among the others. The rooms are a bit dated but with a retro charm that reflects a bygone era. They are large and with kitchenettes, and missed a little carpeting on the cold tile floors, but they might be appreciated in the heat of summer. Everything was very clean with every possible amenity provided, the most special touch being the complimentary limo ride we took to a restaurant. If you are looking for a small, intimate, place (no kids allowed), that is very close to the downtown activities, this is it.

Room Tip: Since there are only about 11 rooms, they are all good. I did hear some street noise, so you may wa...

What a fabulous find! Great hospitality. So easy to enjoy the pool, have drinks or food by candlelight in the evening and the accommodation had everything we needed. Used the bikes and enjoyed an early morning coffee by the fire pit. Great value. Will definitely return and would thoroughly recommend. Fiona and Stuart. Scotland

Had a great time! Will be back for sure! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the funnest evenings was using the bikes to hit the grocery store for some steaks and using the barbeques by the pool and eating diner at the table just outside our room then lounging in the hot tub.

Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
