Enjoyed our four day stay. Loved biking around the neighbourhoods - felt safe. Pool was great, nice loungers, plenty of towels and it is ok to eat and drink in the pool area. Close to downtown. Met some nice people. Morning coffee, fruit, newspapers, bikes, parking and pool just outside your door. Very friendly, helpful staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed six days and nights of our Palm Springs vacation at the Desert Riviera and hated to say goodbye. The bed was very comfortable; the towels and linens generous and soft, smelling just like home; the premises manicured and the rooms expertly clean. We stayed in room #1, which had a kitchenette with a small fridge and a good range of small appliances. This room was beside the office and very quiet.

Stephen, Judy and Tracey were spectacular hosts and the special touches that they provide make this not just superior accommodation but an unforgettable experience. From the warm greeting upon arrival, fresh coffee and pastries each morning to the fireside chats in the evening, our hosts always took the time to chat and inquire if there was anything more they could do. One day we spoke of a Perry Como song that my dad had sung to me as a child - Stephen immediately pulled out his smart phone and added if to his playlist songs around the pool! Now who does THAT? This is just one of many examples of the personal service that these folks provide. Every day, the owner Rick arrived with a warm smile, a pure heart and ice cream or pastry goodies for us to enjoy around the pool.

The atmosphere is warm and friendly, conducive to meeting others and we feel like we made new friends. We are already planning our return to the Desert Riviera.

Excellent service from the moment of our arrival to helping us load the car to come home! Judy, Steve and their team really make you feel like a welcomed guest. We have already booked for 2015.
The décor and pool surround make it feel like Frank Sinatra or Ward & June Cleaver are in the next room.

We stumbled on a treasure in Palm Springs. There is a serene oasis hidden behind the hedge facing the street. The pool was central, the hot tub was divine. Large clean room with a kitchen was great. A bit out of the main action but the free limo means easy access to great restaurants.

Just got back from a fantastic stay at the Hotel Riviera and can honestly say the reviews don't tell the whole story. Very few times in life can I say the reality was even better than the expectation!!! From the moment we were greeted by manager, Judy, and owner, Rick, we felt like VIPs. It wasn't just the little touches like the complimentary wine upon arrival, the wonderful dining suggestions (and menus from all area restaurants large and small), the complimentary limo service, the romantic candle lit evenings by the pool, but the warmth and sincerity of every staff member in making our stay a memorable one. Just received a call from Misty we left our toothbrush rechargers which are on the way back to us. Now that's service that goes over and beyond the call of duty!!!!

I've stayed in lots of hotels over the years, and I don't think I have EVER stayed anywhere that made me feel more welcome and cared for. The staff (Judy, Steven, Traci and Misty) is simply fantastic: Warm, friendly, extremely helpful: they truly make you feel as though there is nothing in the world they'd rather do than make sure you have a wonderful trip. As someone pointed out, the hotel is small (10 rooms?), which makes it feel very intimate. All the rooms are immaculate and seem to vary in size/configuration. What I particularly loved were all the little extras that make it feel so cozy and welcoming: REALLY good coffee right outside the office by the time you wake up; bowls of fruit for the taking, a fleet of mostly-cruiser type bikes to borrow, and rides into town if you don't feel like walking or riding. Great pool; warm (90 degrees); lots of light but also has lovely umbrellas for the shade-lovers among us. Hot tub/fire pit/beautiful landscaping. I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Room Tip: each room seems to be a little different: talk to Judy about what you want: do you want a full kitch...
