“Awesome Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

the pool was awesome! very busy but had plenty of places to chill. There was music and the staff was very attentive. They came by to check pool towels and asked how we were liking the music playing. They also called us when we checked in to ask how everything was, which was cool and stood out to me. My room was AMAZING!! The room was also very clean which i am always impressed by. between the amazing staff (a couple i think) and the views, room quality and presentation i am now calling this my "normal vacation spot"

This hotel looks cute in the pictures but in reality it needs a good update. The suites are either Murphy beds or pull out couches, uncomfortable! The water pressure is terrible and it's hit or miss on whether or not you'll get hot water in the shower. There is a nice kitchen but the dishes provided weren't very clean and the water from the faucet was a bit brownish so I didn't feel comfortable using or cleaning the dishware. We went out and bought disposables.

The pool area is nice but small, they have a lounge with a pool table but the pool sticks weren't useable since most were missing their tips and the table fabric was a bit worn out.

The service left something to be desired. It was very lax without a front desk attendant to check you in, you essentially had to hunt someone down on the property. The credit card machine wasn't working so the guy sent us to our room and then had us come down later that night to run it again. Then I made the mistake of leaving an item in my room. 5 phones calls, repeated assurances they would send it Fedex (i provided my credit card info), and almost 2 weeks later I still don't have the item.
There is no maid service. And they don't provide bottled water or even have any available for purchase on premises...no big, it just the DESERT!

Point being there are far better places to stay in Palm Springs for the price of this place that will offer a much better experience. I was very surprised it was rated so well on Trip Advisor...these ratings are usually a good indicator but not this time.

We recently had to cancel our reservation here. I called the hotel directly - outside of the penalty window - but found that the owner put through a "no-show" charge of over $300. Documentation supports my claim and he acknowledges that I called him to cancel.

The owner refuses to return any of my phone calls.

If you ever have a problem with this hotel I can assure you it will fall on deaf ears.

I stayed here for a company meeting and will be booking for a family getaway. This hotel has charm galore with tons of amenities. I would recommend a suite (mine had 1 bedroom/2 bathrooms/kitchen/living room and numerous entry doors). The new management is renovating but in the mean time you don't feel like it really needs too much. Couple of pools/hot tub/pool table fun area/bar/etc. If you want to try something different and get away from the cookie cutter hotel chain idea you should go here. I bet there is a lot of cool history behind the place...

Room Tip: Rooms in the back of the resort are awesome

Went with sister to Adriatic and found the room, staff and facilities to be above my expectations. It was a quiet weekend but nevertheless, a great time to be had. Walked into town on Palm Canyon, close to other fast food, grocery and other swanky site like Riviera. I would definitely go back and found it was a great value.

We were a little put off upon arrival as no one appeared to be there to greet and check people in. After15+ minutes, we found someone. There are 2 sides to this place - one is a hotel and the other seemed like a timeshare type thing. They explained it but I didn't really listen. A little signage as to where to go/where the office is would be nice.

We arrived around noon but were not able to check in until 3 as the "rooms weren't ready". So we headed into PS to kill time and have lunch etc.

We returned at 3 and once again had to hunt someone down to check in. It's a small place with a small staff... so they front desk is not always staffed. Not a deal breaker but may be good for them to note on their site.

THE ROOM: Deluxe Studio: It's a cute room/space - complete with a fold out of the wall "Murphy Bed", small couch, dining table set for 2, wall mounted TV, closet with iron/ironing board, small dresser, nesting table, full but small kitchen with a few sparse supplies and bathroom. Not plush by any means... but not bad. It was fine for our purposes.....

THE PROS: Good location. Quiet. Pool with plenty of chairs. Nice staff. Ice machine. Laundry facilities. Full kitchen with a few basic supplies.

NEUTRAL: There's an onsite restaurant but we didn't eat there.

THE CONS: Upon check in and 3+ hour wait for "room to ready" the room wasn't clean. It had hairs all over the floors and no toilet paper in the bathroom. When we brought it to their attention, they quickly brought paper and said they would have the floors cleaned when we left for downtown. We returned to less hair... but still hair. And they clearly just swept a bit but didn't do the mopping that was needed.

The beds were not comfortable.... and the bedspread had the same stray hairs we saw all over the floors on our arrival.

Cheap scratchy linens - when i wiped my face with one of the bathroom towels I'm pretty sure it took some skin off. Sandpaper!! And they were so thin, I could see right through them. The kitchens linens were not much better. They were clearly old and had pills in the fabric. They all looked sad, old and dirty. The spoon and spatula in the kitchen drawer looked like they had dry eggs on them or something. Whatever it was, they weren't clean! Good thing we brought our own.

Decor: Seriously in need of updating!! It's kind of a random collection of what I call "yard sale chic".

This place has lots of potential but needs a cosmetic overhaul, a better cleaning crew and more consistent staffing.

Room Tip: The studios have a bed that folds out of the wall...aka Murphy bed. The matress was a but old and no...

We bought a Groupon so the deal was great--and for the money the hotel was good. The friendliness of the staff was a big plus. The specific location was rather poor (next to a vacant lot, for one thing) but it was a quick drive to everything so convenient. Our studio room was huge and the full kitchen was very helpful. The décor was eclectic, to say the least! Some elements had been updated while others reminded us of the 80's. Room cleanliness was lacking.
