Best Western Inn at Palm Springs
Ranked #41 of 74 Hotels in Palm Springs

We stayed for one night and were very pleased with this hotel. Check-in was smooth and friendly (Jeremy). Our room overlooked the pool and the breakfast area and it had the appearance of having been recently renovated-new carpet, granite counter tops etc. Excellent HDTV with lots of channels and a strong wi-fi signal. Breakfast was a cold continental breakfast; I see that one reviewer mentioned 'omelets'; we never saw any sign of hot food. A very good hotel at a reasonable price. I would give it 41/2 stars.

Room Tip: the rooms overlooking the pool are very quiet

We were passing through the area arriving a little later than we would normally, partly due to there being no bold signage, apparently they are not permitted. Reception staff were pleasant and keen to please. We were offered a choice of rooms and it was explained that one was much darker than the other because of it's location. However this room was very pleasant and well appointed although I was surprised that the plumbing of other rooms was audible.
A hot breakfast was included although this was confined to a "made to order omelette" but there was a good cold selection. The use of proper crockery and cutlery was pleasant change from the usual paper cups and plates and plastic cutlery.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a California fly drive holiday, and it was the best hotel we stayed in on the trip....I thought it was excellent.
Ok, it's not a top class hotel, but the management have really tried to make it the best that they can for what is a really reasonably priced stopover.
For a start, the rooms are huge, with really nice beds, and everything clean and fresh. The new, large TV had a vast amount of channels, and a new packaged remote is supplied (this is a thoughtful touch, as it's well known how unhygienic hotel room remotes can be...use your imagination!). It's little things like this that show the management really care...unusual in my experience!
The pool area is beautiful, right up against the mountains, and breakfast it taken right there also...it's plentiful and was great for me, especially with such a great view. Also, real cutlery and plates are supplied, unlike the paper and plastic you normally get...another nice touch I thought.
If I ever return to Palm Springs (and I hope I do), I would definitely return to the Best Western, and I highly recommend it to others.

This motel has upgraded its rooms, so they look nice and more stylish, but it is still a motel with the noisy air conditioners (that now have digital wall controls).

Pros: Large flat screen TV, nice sink countertop, towels nice, beds comfortable and property has a pool and jacuzzi, refrigerator, microwave.

Cons: Way too much street noise - this place is right where Palm Canyon takes the bend in the elbow. No towel hooks or bars in the sink area for hand towels. Only towel hanging options were in the toilet/shower room - one towel bar and hook on back of door. Air conditioner way too noisy to leave on at night (and I had ear plugs in). Breakfast is skimpy and outdoors in pool area (outdoors is nice in good weather). Pools still use chlorine. Cleaning staff did not empty recycle bin while we were there and did not check the little device that allows the remote control to work for the TV (it had fallen behind the TV before we checked in). Not enough parking.

All-in-all, okay at half price or less (which we got thru a travel site), but over priced at full price.

We are staying here now for more than a week and we really like it.
Staff is friendly, rooms are nice.
Breakfast is great as well.
Coffee (3 kinds), tea, waffles, hardboiled eggs, white and grey bread, muffins, fresh fruit, yoghurt, oatmeal, etc
The only minor things I can say is that the water in the pool is not that warm . . . if I need to say something less positive . . .
Enjoy your stay

Room Tip: Great to visit the valley

Stayed just one night here, party of 4. Great service from the freindly staff, handy location, rooms were clean and cool. We really enjoyed breakfast by the pool, just a pity we had only one night. Would like to come back and spend 2 or 3 days.

Stayed for 1 night. Had to move rooms because of a fan making a noise, not a problem, the management dealt with it professionally. Rooms are of a generous size, if a little dated. All the amenities you need are there, and a nice big comfortable bed.
Did not use the pool though it looked good, but had a simple breakfast round the pool the next morning which was nice.
I would definitely stay here again. The hotel isn't trying to be a 5 star hotel, just a basic hotel that does its job. Good stay.
