We found a review if this spot on another travel site and decided to check out the ground and grab an appetizer and cocktail. After years of coming to Palm Springs, I had no idea the hotel was here let along the delicious restaurant inside.

There was a wedding going on around the pool the night we were there. We say at the bar and enjoyed the manchego cheese and olive app with one of the eBay margaritas around. The whole menu was enticing but we couldn't stay to enjoy another course. The restaurant filled up nicely and we were serves professionally by the bartender. Stop here for some darn good food and a tasty margarita! The ground are beautiful!

Colony Palms feels like a wonderful Moroccan oasis. We loved sitting out at the bar as the sun set. The pool area is lovely, and the grounds are landscaped to feel cozy and lush. There are lots of quiet areas to sit, and the food was delicious. Don't miss the purple lemonade, but careful, it'll get ya!
The room was a little dark, but charming with a well stocked mini bar and gorgeous bathroom. Very comfy feather bed. I would love to see what the other rooms look like, and I would love to try a casita next time.
I would highly recommend Colony Palms to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a place that feels like a secluded paradise. We loved it and we will definitely be back.

I have to be honest and and start by saying that Palm Springs is not my first choice destination but we desperately needed a break after months and months of non stop working in Los Angeles. We were exhausted and cranky. We wanted somewhere affordable but luxurious, hot and sunny, but still driving distance from LA. Added to which, some very dear friends live there part time and we knew that we wanted to spend some time with them. So I found a groupon deal at an excellent price and took the plunge. Palm Springs was not at all what I expected, the main drag itself being very disappointing with quite a seedy feel to it, but the Colony Palms hotel was an oasis of peace, comfort and beauty. The hotel is surrounded by a high wall covered in bougainvillea and the Spanish architecture is enchanting. The decor and furnishings had a somewhat Moorish feel to it, which I absolutely love, rich in color and pleasing to the senses. The room was a superior king and quite large. I asked for a quiet room and was given a room on the back of the property which was perfect. The bed was fine (I'm spoilt by a Tempurpedic) and the pillows and linens were also pretty good. Nice robes and soap etc in the bathroom. The shower was not bad too. Good complementary coffee was put out by the pool at 6 every morning so we could help ourselves and the breakfast there was amazing. Excellent food and lovely service from the hotel staff all round. Internet was lightning speed and the reception staff were extremely kind and printed out a huge file for me and then scanned back to me at no charge. Top notch service in every way. The pool area is beautiful and the grounds are wonderful with very mature landscaping and shaded areas and cabanas with comfortable seating dotted around. It has a sort of old colonial feel to it. We didnt try the spa as I'm a little wary of hotel spas. So my conclusion is that this hotel offers a really nice, easy and affordable getaway for those who just want to unwind. We would definitely go back there for that. The only and very minor complaints I might have is that the cushions on the chaise longues by the pool have seen better days and the TV in the room was small and at a very difficult angle to watch. Don't really care about TV anyway so not a big deal for me. We took a couple of days to really relax but felt fantastic when we got home. Thank you Colony Palms for a great and much needed break !

We spent the weekend at the Colony Palms on a Living Social travel deal. This hotel and rooms usually cost anywhere between $600-$1000+ per night. The hotel is usually booked solid; however we lucked out during the last weekend in August 2013. The hotel is very romantic and the rooms a lovely. We spent most of our time at the hotel verses roaming around Palm Springs. The restaurant is very nice and offers a lot of small plates to snack on throughout the day. The pool and hot tube are open 24/7. We spent most of our time lounging by the pool and outside fireplace late at night. There were few children at the resort during our weekend; however the children that were there, were well behaved. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get away on a romantic weekend.

Ok, so I love the look of the resort. Awesome rooms. Great location. Love the outdoor fireplace - great place to sit and sip on some vino. My husband and I had one of the best massages ever at their spa. The waiters and bartenders were great at the restaurant...so why not give it 5-stars? Well, it's all because of the 4 hours it took to receive the sparkling wine (included in the package I purchased through Luxury Link). What went wrong? Pretty sure it was the lack of staffing. Probably because we went in early December in the middle of the week...I get having less staff for less guests, but 4 hours for vino??? First off, it was supposed to be in the room when we arrived and it took multiple phone calls to get it...just not what you expect from a place like this. So, like I said, 4.5 stars.

Absolutely love this hotel! Have been three times now and always exceeds my expectations everytime! A stay here feels like stepping back in time. There is a retro feel to it with a modern twist. A great pool area, friendly too, with cocktails on tap brought to your lounger by one of the friendly staff. The rooms are amazing too! Especially the casita suites! Casitas come complete with private high walled outdoor patio and a bath tub with jacuzzi features! You will not be disappointed with a stay here! Truly fantastic boutique hotel!

Old Hollywood style hotel with a lot of charm. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Bath products are wonderful. Pool staff is extremely friendly. The lobby / reception area needs a renovation. The no kids policy makes the stay quiet but also the pool is open 24 hrs and that is great in PS heat!
