“Loved Colony Palms Hotel”

My husband & I had never been to Palm Springs before and found the Colony Palms Hotel online. We were looking for a smaller boutique hotel and it did not disappoint. The room was great, grounds beautiful, staff friendly, and location perfect. Although the restaurant was closed for renovation, we were still able to sample the food and it was quite good. We would definitely choose this hotel again!

We chose the Colony Palms for a quick 1-night getaway from LA. Overall, it was a lovely experience with a few disappointments to report.

PROS:

-Amazing location if you'd like to be walking distance to town.
-Grounds are beautifully manicured.
-Rooms feel very private.
-Pool is beautiful with a very mellow crowd.

CONS:

-Restaurant/bar directly in front of the pool was closed for construction and covered with unsightly blue tarp during our stay.
-Nearby street construction caused lots of jackhammer noise in the pool area.
-Poolside food/drink service didn't start until 10AM.
-Room floors felt like they needed to be mopped.

I am very interested in staying here again once the restaurant is reopened, as I feel this crucial piece to the puzzle really made our experience incomplete.

Room Tip: Room 23 was great. Private patio on ground level with private landscaping all around.

This place is beautiful, and could be so much better.... with a tighter rule....a bossy perfectionist....but, I digress....
We stayed here in late February of this year and loved it anyway. Beware : room 15 is equipped for handicapped people, with a ramp, big grip bars all over the bathroom and a shower for people under 5' tall. We had to move after one night. The upstair rooms are better.
Our room wasn't ready, like so many other reviewers here. A complimentary drink at the poolside bar helped pass the 1 hour wait ( = 5 PM). The location is perfect , walk to the best shopping and restaurants in 5 minutes. The pool is ruined by groups of 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' ninnies being way too loud - all day, every day. No class, even at 500.00 a night.

Room Tip: - be upstairs -decline #15 -bring earplugs as you can hear water pipes

My husband and I got married at the Colony Palms in 2011 and it was nothing short of spectacular! We stayed in a Casita and it was just lovely. The decor is beautiful throughout the property. The restaurant and pool area is gorgeous and relaxing and the food is to die for!
If you're going to Palm Springs, don't miss this gem!

What a lovely escape this was! The accommodations were clean and I adored the art! The food was delectable and reasonably priced!
It was the perfect place to relax by the pool and the service went above & beyond expectations! Nick took extraordinary care of our group - 16 ladies celebrating a 40th birthday! He was friendly and willing to bring us whatever we needed to ensure we were comfortable & happy! The live jazz band on Sunday was the icing on the cake! Definitely planning on returning here!

This hotel is a secret gem! We were recommended the CPH by close friends, and will definitely pass the recommendation along. Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. The restaurant is delicious with excellent food and a pleasant staff. We especially love the morning croissants- better than Paris. Brandon was our morning server and was such a delight! He made us feel right at home! The complimentary poolside ice cream sandwiches were also a perk. We have been to the Parker and the Ace, and find the CPH to be a class above the rest. Already planning our next visit!
