“A very happy hour”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

A bit off the beaten track, a few blocks further south from downtown Palm Springs. This darkly lit, throw back to a simplier era offers an excellent happy hour. Technically a hour and a hour, running from 4-5:30 pm. I highly reccommend both the martinis and the margaritas. At $4.50 each, they were both delicious and perfectly mixed. A good selection of bar menu items, that were tasty and very reasonably priced. Loved the Szechuan green beans and the onion rings. Our server, Ashley, was attentive and informed us when to order another round before the happy hour pricing ended. Definitely a place to walk or cab to.

“Awesome!!!!”
Reviewed 29 March 2013

Roscoe's really surprised me and was a great meal!! You can order a prefix menu. It has many options and you get a lot of food for a good price. I got short rib tacos that were SO good. Best of all for dessert they have a lot to choose from, the coconut cake is my fav. And they give you a big piece. The calamari is not chewy at all, amazing!! I went with a big group and everyone found something that they wanted, and everyone loved it. Also our waitress was very friendly and great.

Reviewed 16 March 2013

Have been reading there menu @ the car-wash next door for years, and finally tried it!, Very pleasant place, kind of "old-time", with a classy older type clientle, great happy hour. Food is very good, well presented, and reasonable, kind of a neighborhood, local place, that lets you feel welcome

“Great food & drink (and reasonable!)”
Reviewed 14 March 2013

Went in after reading reviews here but not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. A little dark in back (nice), booths along the wall and a long bar. Couple of martinis perfectly done, and the bar food was tasty (and among the cheaper meals we had in Palm Springs). Wish we'd gone back a second night!

“Destination "Happy Hour"”
Reviewed 9 March 2013

Yes, the outside isn't that inviting-but once you are inside you are stepping back in time. The bar is cozy with booths that add the right amount of privacy. My husband ordered a Manhattan and I a Motijo ($4.50). From our booth I could watch Greg stirring up these libations and that in itself added to the experience. My husband said it was one of the best he has had and mine was refreshing and prepared with fresh mint. We started with an order of sweet potato fries. The serving was huge and came with a tasty dipping sauce. Next we ordered fish and chips and the blue cheese salad topped with grilled sirloin ($6.95) along with another Manhattan for my husband and a cosmo for me. Michelle, our server, was friendly and her and Greg worked the lounge with constant, attentive service. When we return to Palm Springs, Roscoe's will be on our "worth a second visit" list - hopefully to try their week end prime rib dinners.
