If you're in Palo Alto, stop by 367 Addison Avenue to see the house and garage where Dave Packard and Bill Hewlett founded HP. This is a nice residential neighborhood. After many years of changing ownership, HP Corp bought and restored the house and garage to the same appearance it had in 1938 when HP was founded. There is a large historical marker on the front lawn. One of the few free things to see and do in the bay area.

There's nothing wrong with the garage. It's just that there are so many amazing things to see and do in the Palo Alto/Stanford area. I'd give this photo op a miss.

If you are a great fan of tech history, you may enjoy seeing this little garage. But there's not much to this, whatsoever.

I work for HP but live in the east coast.I always said that if I got out here I would go and visit the "Garage", there is not much to see except the "garage" and a plaque denoting the historical significance of the birthplace of the Silicon Valley companies. It is kind of sureal since I have been in the IT industry for 30+ years and kind of felt let down, but in the same breath wondered what it would have been like 40 years or so ago when Bill and Dave would go out there and tinker wondering if they ever thought in their wildest imagination what would evolve in Palo Alto ...

As this HP garage only used to belong to HP brothers, now it's belongs to somebody else. It's in a neighborhood area, not many visitors were here because it was blocked by the gate. What can you do? For me, only take the photos in front of the garage that's like 20 feet away, somehow blocked by the gate. There's an introduction about the garage in front of the house.
