It's no different than seeing a battlefield. If you're heavily into war history, then a battlefield visit is quite meaningful. If you're into the tech world, then take 10 minutes to find a parking place and see this house. It's all about the feeling of "being right there." It's only worth your time, if technology history is important to you. We found it to be pretty cool to stand there for a moment and think about what it was like back then.

“It's where it all began... but it is just a house”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

A great photo opportunity but we couldnt seem to go in.
As a bit of a tech geek it was fun to have a photo with the garage to say that I had been there, but thats about it.

“5 minute visit to the Birthplace of Silicon Valley”

If you're in Palo Alto, stop by 367 Addison Avenue to see the house and garage where Dave Packard and Bill Hewlett founded HP. This is a nice residential neighborhood. After many years of changing ownership, HP Corp bought and restored the house and garage to the same appearance it had in 1938 when HP was founded. There is a large historical marker on the front lawn. One of the few free things to see and do in the bay area.

“It's a garage with a plaque”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

There's nothing wrong with the garage. It's just that there are so many amazing things to see and do in the Palo Alto/Stanford area. I'd give this photo op a miss.

“Not worth a separate trip”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

If you are a great fan of tech history, you may enjoy seeing this little garage. But there's not much to this, whatsoever.
