Beautiful restaurant with two nice outside seating areas. Four people, each had a cocktail, shared two bottles of wine (at $50 each) and 12 plates of appetizers - $267 - not including tip! The appetizer plates we ordered - potstickers 5 pcs for $10, Siu Mai 4 pcs for $8, ribeye skewers 2 for $15, Cha Sui bao 3 pcs for $8 and shao Lung Bao three for $9. So you can see it adds up quickly. I loved the food but would not go back because of the cost.

I had dinner here with some friends on a recent business trip. The decor and atmosphere was nice, a bit "W Hotel" trendy but still quite appealing. They have some nice outdoor seating as well, but it was a bit chilly so we ate inside. I would describe the food as modern Pan-Asian, we ordered a bunch of appetizers but did not try any entrees.

The food is not cheap, but everything we ordered was very well presented and had very good flavors. I found the shrimp bites to be excellent, the crab and avocado egg rolls were really good as well and the garlic noodles were delicious. It wasn't very crowded while we were there and the staff was perhaps not as attentive as they could have been, but we were enjoying our conversation so that wasn't too off-putting.

I would definitely recommend Yucca de Lac to friends and colleagues (though not for those on a budget), and I would definitely go back again.

We had a delicious dinner at Yucca de Lac. First of all, the service was great. Our server, Ilze, was very helpful with questions about the menu and very attentive. We had the sauteed mushrooms and Har Gow appetizers. Both very fresh and tasty. For entrees we had the French Bean Chicken, Tiger Prawns and everyones favorite, the Crab Meat Asparagus. We shared an order of the Green Vegetarian rice. I could have made a meal of that alone, it was so good. We can't wait to go back. This is not your typical shopping center restaurant and that's a good thing.

This restaurant opened in the March time frame, and features a sort of Hong Kong Fusion food. My wife, daughter, a friend and I ate there for lunch. My daughter ate a combination of vegetable, shrimp, and pork Chinese pot stickers. My wife had an arugula salad with seared ahi tuna and grilled mango, and I had a watermelon-arugula salad with a crumbled blue cheese. All three dishes were phenomenal, and really not too heavy. We also had at the table, some lightly prepared french-cut beans, and a summer vegetable pasta. This as opposed to the neighboring restaurant, Max's Opera Cafe, which is well known for its ridiculously oversized portions.

If you're eating outside, there are curtains to separate you from both the parking lot and the sun. Ambiance is about what you would otherwise expect for a mall.

Here's the thing: the cost was high, but when I ask myself if I would return, the answer is simply yes. Light (relatively) healthy fare is hard to come by, and their meal was not only that, but imaginative and inspiring. That makes it worth it.
