This patisserie offers delicious french pastries in a wide variety and accompanies them with a wide selection of coffees and teas. It is open late, and you wander down the aisles selecting your choices. There is no service (don't think the waiter is snubbing you—there is no waiter coming by), and even the baristas are a bit disconnected so you never know when your beverage is ready without asking and hoping.
The challenge is that it is probably more expensive than Paris with its Euro! Way overpriced for the pastries (the quality is good), and for the beverages.
Also, the seating area is a disaster! Ripped cushions and scratched tables (this is a fairly new restaurant) and not terribly clean, either. Don't wear your best clothes here. Why this is so is a puzzle—nice community, expensive, tasty food. Do young people trash it at lunch? Are diners angry at the cost? Doesn't the management care about how shabby it is? We'll go back when we're wearing jeans.
