Description: Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

Great atmosphere (open kitchen), varied Mediterranean menu, nice wine list. Good service. Reliably high quality.

My first choice for cuisine would not be Greek food but when your boss says this is his favorite restaurant, you go with it. I was NOT disappointed; in fact, I loved it! I had the Greek salad and a seafood special that were both excellent.

One note: there's no bar to speak of so if you want to hang out and wait for your party over a glass of wine, this isn't a good spot for that.

I really can't add anything new. Food was great. Wine was great. Atmosphere is good. Location is convenient. If you hate Greek food, you could probably find something to complain about, but otherwise, just enjoy your meal!

We had a lamb appetizer that was so good that we ordered more of it for the main course. The wine list is outstanding with excellent wines from California and around the world including some of the best that Greece is producing. Finished with a nice baklava and coffee. A wonderful evening made more wonderful by our server who was most attentive, moved us away from a noisy table without making it obvious to them that we had complained.

Have eaten here three times and had or tasted quite a few of the entrees, all delicious. Fish and lamb, as would be expected, are excellent. Reservations a must as popular. Though expensive, it is delicious. Parking available in lot across street. Convenient just off University Avenue, close to Stanford. Good for business dinners or for couples; likely too expensive for undergrads.
