When arriving for my dinner, I had to pass through the bar section which was hopping and quite loud. I opted to dine in their patio area which wasn't quite as loud. The decor of the patio leaves something to be desired. The white corrugated plastic cover had a lot of debris on top, might not have been cleaned for a long time. At the far side of the patio there may have been a fountain with plants around, but now just gray concrete remains. Yes, there is a drought, but they could at least paint the concrete in some lively colors.
For my appetizer I had a a tofu dish which was delicious. Piping hot fried tofu with a tangy sauce. The dish was enough for two people. The main course was a seafood combination with green sauce. The plate was pleasing to the eye. It had a nice variety of veggies-baby bok choy, okra, red pepper and cauliflower. The seafood was another story: it seemed like grade B or C products. The three mussels had so little in each, that the three put together did not amount to what one mussel would normally have in another restaurant. The shrimp were puny also. The squid pieces were small, but at least there were enough of them.
The service was very good. The wine not too great. The place offers a large variety of cocktails and patrons who come for the bar atmosphere would be much happier than just a diner. At leaving, the indoor area was much louder than at my arrival and the bar scene even livelier than at my arrival. So go for it!
