We had a awesome breakfast here. Their specials really are special! They bake their own breads, and we had divine almond-encrusted brioche French toast served with fresh peaches. WOW.

The atmosphere is authentic diner (dating back to the roaring 20's), the service is friendly and speedy, and still the food is fresh, verging on gourmet.

This is a really nice find, and worth going out of your way to enjoy. Btw, I hear the milkshakes are wonderful. Gotta come back to try one!

The onion rings and desserts are to die for!
This is a great informal place for a group that can't decide where to go. Breakfast all day, mac and cheese, full dinners, sandwiches, seafood all looked yummy. If you want a glass of wine, they have that too.
The baked goods are fresh. Had a steak sandwich (I know, boring!) but the roll it arrived on made the sandwich.

Thank Thal

Best milkshakes ever and a fun local favorite. We started going here decades ago; glad to say we loved its retro-greatness then and still do. Super fresh food cooked to order. Great selection of standards as well as newer entrees.

It is refreshing to find a classic diner-style restaurant in Palo Alto. Traditional favorites reign--try a club sandwich. Breakfast all day. When we tire of trendy restaurants and cutting-edge cuisine, we come back her

Love this place forever!

In February, we visited the Palo Alto Creamery Fountain & Grill on a corner in busy downtown. Good menu with lots of variety; easy for everyone in your party to find something of interest. Many breakfast foods were available, and portions were large and tasty.

The comfortable booths and big windows allow for people-watching at its finest in Palo Alto. Sit back and relax for a while, while observing the pedestrian (and motor) traffic out your window.

Service was quick and friendly.

Parking (as for all downtown restaurants) can be tricky; you may have to walk a bit once you snag a spot.

At the back of the diner, you'll find a bakery area selling fresh-baked breads and other yummy items. Buy some tasty treats to go.

Definitely worth a visit while in Silicon Valley if you're up for the parking challenge.

I've often eaten breakfast here, and it's always good food and a great environment, but this time I stopped in on a very hot day with my son and we had shakes..... real shakes, unlike anything McDonalds has ever imagined. Yes, they're expensive, but well worth it!
