I have been to Palo Alto numerous times but had never stumbled upon this place since it is hidden. Was pleasantly surprised by the décor and the food. I ordered Lemon Grass chicken which was seasoned very well. Also ordered chicken salad and spring rolls. All 3 dishes were delicious. The tea came out in a lovely teapot. The staff was very polite and the service was excellent. Items are expensive.

We're not sure if the problem was our server, the food prep, the management or some combination of all three; but we are sure we did not enjoy our dining experience. Here's the scene: a party of 4 adults out for an evening of dinner and socializing. We ordered one appetizer for the table and each ordered an entrée. One entrée had a request of no mushrooms due to an allergy. The server definitely heard the request, repeated it and wrote it down. All entrées arrived approximately 20 minutes after ordering. The short version of the story from here is, our server was MIA. It took at least 10 minutes to find the server to request a new entrée and it took almost 40 minutes for it to be redelivered to the table prepared correctly. By that time, one of us was starving and the others in the party had completely finished their meals and their plates had been removed. The server didn't charge us for the lost meal. I believe the entire bill should have been paid by the restaurant, because apart from good company, it was a horrible dining experience. There are so many good restaurants in the area. The only way I'd go back to give Three Seasons another chance is if they gave our table our entire meal at no charge since that first dining experience was still expensive and not an enjoyable experience at all.

Three Seasons is in a nice location in downtown Palo Alto, even though my fiancé and I stumbled upon the restaurant by accident. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I was impressed with the spring rolls that we ordered. The tea was also very good, and served in a beautiful teapot with lovely cups to match. What made our experience even better was that we received complimentary asparagus soup shots--yes, shots--that were delicious. Next time we're dining in Palo Alto, I'll be sure to order some soup in addition to the tea and sushi. Also, I recommend sitting upstairs; it's more quiet and romantic!

Like the food, but it is very expensive. The outdoor tables are nice, and sometimes they have live music.

Three Seasons is a bit of a hidden gem, mostly due to it's location on a back street in Palo Alto. Really great atmosphere and charming decor, with outside seating (and heat lamps if the evening is chilly). The menu is extensive, all California versions of Vietnamese, both big and small plates. We had seared scallops with bok choy, a few versions of spring rolls, mango shrimp salad and garlic noodles - all delicious. Some of the items could use a bit more spice, ask for extra on the side!
