We have stayed at this hotel many times and room location and night of stay will play a big part on your experience. This past stay on a Saturday night we were located right next to the rear elevator. I would normally not accept the room, but was told that was all that was available at that time on that floor (found out later that that was not true). As late as 2:30 AM we had a steady stream of drunks using the elevator and standing in the small alcove drinking and talking. It was a nightmare. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Most of the staff was courteous and helpful. I can recommend this hotel if you are a heavy sleeper or if you go in the middle of the week (a previous weekend stay we has soccer teams running up and down the halls). Stay away from the elevators or the entrance to the parking garage.

Our family stayed at the Courtyard Old Pasadena for three weeks in August while our son was a patient at USC Medical Center. We had two rooms and made trips twice a day to USC.

We could not have hoped for a more accommodating hotel. Everyone on staff was fantastic. Amazing attention to detail in every aspect of this hotel. Highly recommended and would go out of our way to stay there again.

The room was plaesant and clean, we had a view on the pool (which we didn't get the chance to use but other people seemed to enjoy it). I liked that the bathroom wasn't too small, it was nice not to have the knees hitting the door or the tub when on the toilet...
Each floor as direct access to the parking, which was practical. We didn't have any problem with noise.
We didn't get breakfast there, it's always too expensive anyway.
The best thing is the location. You can go to Old Town
on foot, it's close to the freeways and there are bus stops. Also we had an excellent rate and for $124 a night, it was great.
Staff was mostly helpful except for one clerk.
My only complain is that we left an bottle of water, almost full, in the room and the maids threw it away. I hate wasting water but it was a $4 bottle "offered" by the hotel (we never do that but hubby was too thirsty during the night) so I was even more pissed.
Other than that, it was a good stay.

Prior to finding this we had stayed at the Langham, which was nice, but a little more removed from downtown. There's a great discount at both places if you're in town for the Huntington Library or hospital.

Really enjoyed the proximity to Colorado and Old Town. An above average Courtyard in terms of amenities and rooms. Didn't mind that breakfast wasn't free as there are plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes, including Market on Holly which serves great pastries and Stumptown Coffee!

I was four days at this hotel for business purposes. It has everything the business traveler needs. The rooms are large and well equipped. There is free access to internet all over the hotel. The window mounted air conditioned is powerful and not as noisy as in other places but noisy nevertheless. The bathroom is large and well equipped. Service in the lobby and restaurant is good. The restaurant has a reasonable choice of easy dishes.
I noticed that there were also numerous families with children but this did not create any disturbance to the business traveler. In summary, a good base to explore the area, a good place for the business customers.
