“The more the merrier!”
Reviewed 18 August 2014

This restaurant is located on the corner of Fair Oaks and Union st. in Pasadena. They validate two hours of parking for the parking structure next door. Street metered parking is available, two hours only. Free after 8pm.
We ordered onion badji, cucumber and tomato salad, pepper lamb and madras shrimp curry. The onion badji and the salad were very good as were the entrees, which were spicy. They provide a heat rating for each dish-1-5. Ours were 4 and 5. We also had the saffron rice. Topped off with beer. The service is excellent, the food is first rate. The place is small and the air conditioning was a little inadequate for this very hot day. Bring friends and enjoy many dishes to share. 72 bucks with two large bottle of beer.

“Very Good Lunch Specials”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

This restaurant is located in Old Town, and they validate. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Coco Lamb and split them. Both were marvelous. One can watch the Nan being made. It's so fresh when it comes to the table. Lunch includes rice, dal of the day, small salad and Nan, all for $9.95. A great new find for us, although it's been there for years.

“Indian food with spicy any way you like it”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

This rather dark corner restaurant was out of several things on a Monday night, even the Indian beer we wanted. However, the food was good - lamb in a cocoanut sauce with fennel (which didn't taste like either cocoanut or fennel). Dhaba lamb was nicely spicy with layers of onion, lamb, vegetables, and scrambled egg. The chicken saag was the only disappointment as it wasn't spicy and seemed to have very little sauce although lots of spinach. The service was attentive.

“After the UCLA game we stopped for dinner”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

After the UCLA game we stopped for dinner. Indian fare was good. However, there was a huge piece of cinnamon bark in our sag paner. At first, I thought it was a broken piece of plastic tube. I ordered nan after the order was in, so our meal came first. I asked four times for the bread. I was told it is "almost out", "it will be out in a minute", "I'm sorry, it should not be taking so long" and "I'll bring it to you when it is ready, but I'll take the charge off the bill." We packed up our left overs to take them home. We asked for the bill. The nan was brought to the table wrapped in aluminum along with the bill which included the price of the bread. Since we were taking it home and it was only $2.95 my host chose not to quibble over the bill and paid it.
