We stayed at this hotel for a 3 nights during our vacation. It is a grand hotel set on a hill in a quiet residential neighborhood. The grounds and public areas are beautiful and well-kept. The valet service was always friendly and prompt in retrieving our car. The rooms themselves were quite old. There were no outlets next to the bed and not enough in the room for charging the modern traveler's multiple devices. The coffeemaker was set on a small table in the entry, but there was no outlet nearby and had to be taken into the bathroom if you wanted to make a cup of coffee. Bed linens and towels were luxurious but furniture was showing signs of wear. Housekeeping was inconsistent; one day the room was cleaned but the bathroom was not and dirty towels were still on the floor and not replenished. Overall, a nice stay but the hotel needs a refresh to maintain its 5 star status.

this was our 2nd fourth of july trip here. we're locals and just wanna get away once in a while. this time we took my 78 yo mother along. we got a suite (room 542 & 544, i'll try and post pix) with an adjoining room. the best part is having a view of pasadena and seeing all the fireworks going on all over the city! hmmm i really shouldn't be sharing this. now it will be harder to get a room. also we visited their spa for the first time...top notch! the only thing i don't like is that they have NO self parking. it was just $25 a night but add in all the tips and you've spent $50 if you leave the hotel a couple times.

This hotel is worthy of its five star status. I did not meet a single staff member who was not courteous and friendly. The rooms were spotless, large and well-appointed. They have mapped out several running routes through the beautiful neighbourhood (I would recommend if you are a runner). The pool and patio area is lovely, and I would recommend lunch or a cocktail---very relaxing atmosphere. The price of our rooms was very reasonable when compared to similar quality hotels/resorts that we have stayed at in the past.
We will stay at this hotel again if we are in the area.

From reservation to departure, the staff members went out of their way to make sure that our stay was memorable. It was for a birthday celebration, and we were surprised to learn that our room was upgraded and there were Happy Birthday chocolate-dipped strawberries in our room. We were especially appreciative of Zara's assistance with the reservation, Alexander for moving and calling back to confirm our dinner reservation at The Terrace while we were stuck in traffic, and all the other staff who were friendly and always smiling but very efficient. We plan to return again for another stay in the near future at this beautiful hotel.

It has been a couple of years since I last stayed at the Langham Pasadena.
They had all the toiletries you could possible need arranged nicely in a wooden box. Very elegance.
My partner and I came down to southern California on a business trip. While he was out attending his business, I stayed back and enjoyed the classic elegance. My girl friend and I took advantage of the complimentary luxury shuttle service offered by the Langham. They took us into the downtown area for shopping and dinning. In the afternoon, we were picked up by the same driver. It was a wonderful experience. :)
