I take pride in my cooking ability and partner's biggest complaint about dining out is that I generally cook better for her at home. That being said... don't miss Lebanese Kitchen. Food cooked to perfection with pride.
Try the quail appetizer. The menu says two pieces, but that's two whole quail. Great hummus and tabbouleh with plenty of soft, fresh pita. The lamb kebab was superb. Partner's falafel were great. No liquor is served, but he had no problem letting me bring in beer from outside.
I've dined from Edmonton, Alberta to Altamonte Springs, Fl.; Bergen to London to Paris. This was one of the best meals I've ever had!!! Ok, so the decor is a little utilitarian, but I'm here for the food.
NOTE: The owner said we were dining at his last night at the Washington Blvd. location. Something about the new owner of the building and lease problems. He says he's going to relocate to the Rose Bowl area. Go find him; go eat; and enjoy!
