“A Gem!”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

We recently went on a weekend getaway to celebrate two birthdays and we are so thankful to have found this place. Our hosts Dave and Karina were exceptional. They prepared a cute welcome sign, made delicious breakfasts each morning that catered to all our dietary needs (no pork, dairy free, gluten free-ish), and even sent us home with some delicious goodies as a birthday gift. They were very sweet and easy to talk with. One evening after a full day of wine tasting, we ate dinner together at the house and they taught us how to play a new domino game that lasted well into the night. They shared a delicious port from a neighboring vineyard and we ended up spending many hours laughing and drinking.
The property grounds are lovely -- I know it would be even more so during the spring when the vines have green on them. We stayed in the room with a view, which was very spacious and what a view it did have! I indulged in a warm bath and slept so well. I love feeling like I'm a part of the family, not just a guest. I definitely look forward to planning another trip where we can stay at this beautiful property again.

We love to celebrate birthdays with our guests . . . as long as they aren't ours. So glad you had a wonderful time. Hope to see you again. Perhaps on your next birthdays?

Unmitigated pampering in an idyllic location. If it's peace and quiet and endless views from the top of a Tuscany look-alike perch, you should make a reservation at Seven Quails a priority of the highest order. Hosts Dave and Karina are friendly, intellectual, engaging and relentless in their pursuit to make guests happy and long for a return. I'm nearing the end of a 7 night stay, having revised my plans to stay on here longer rather than venture north. I figured "what good is leaving - I have the perfect hosts, the best breakfasts I've ever consumed, beautiful surroundings, and countless world-class wineries to visit". You will not be disappointed if you visit here. Room With a View is an understatement. Dave and Karina far surpass the notion that they are merely B&B owners looking to cash in on this popular format. I have never felt so at home anywhere I've ever been on vacation, and I have traveled far and wide. Let these two be your acolytes in the crusade to find the perfect retreat. I cannot wait to make another visit and so wish that I did not have to leave. Kudos to you, Dave and Karina for making my holiday superb, top to bottom!

You two made our week. Ate everything we served, didn't complain about the wine, enjoyed the venue and vistas, and then wrote this wonderful review. One thing is sure to be questioned however: Dave's classification as an intellectual. Karina has him down as an Neanderthal on occasion which of course he disputes. No matter, life goes on and with such wonderful guests as you Dave will soon be civilized. Come back please. He needs more lessons.

I had the best experience staying at Seven Quails this past weekend. David and Karina are incredible hosts. Not only are they excellent company, but they really went out of their way to make us feel at home. They did so many unexpected and delightful things that made us feel so special, that I hesitate to list them for fear that I might set the expectation for your visit too high! Suffice it to say that I will be choosing Seven Quails from now on (over all the other more expensive Paso B&Bs that we've stayed at before)

Room Tip: There are only two rooms to choose from. I stayed in "Room with a view" and it definitely...

Glad your experience allowed you to change your mind about our pricing structure. Many folks associate higher prices with more value which is not always the case. In fact it may be just the opposite. In this day an age when vacation money is dear, we extract our extra payment in the form of smiles from our guests. Thank you for staying with us and for the great review. We hope to see you on your next visit to Paso.

What a wonderful experience! The accommodations are top-notch from soft and luxurious linens to thick soft towels that I had to run right out and buy when we arrived home (couldn't take a shower with my "old" towels despite the fact that they are quality items, but nothing compared to Seven Quails). Then there is the food: wine and snacks in the late afternoon, coffee out early morning with a snack to tide you over until you get to a most amazing meal--a three course breakfast! The views from our room "Room with a View" and the beds, bathrooms, couldn't be nicer. Extremely clean establishment. Much more than this, is Dave and Karina, the warm, friendly, helpful owners who just can't do enough for you.
Paso Robles is lots of fun, no matter your interest,. Don't miss the town or this wonderful place!

Room Tip: A Room With A View, but truthfully any room is wonderful. There is another room that has a connecti...

Well what can we say but that you were/are incredible guests? As first time visitors, you brought the warmth expected of old friends and shared it with us. And where else does one find recommendations compelling us to advance our Shakespearean and geographical knowledge by visiting the Ashland Oregon Shakespeare Festival? Thank you for your comments about Seven Quails. Your visit was much appreciated as will be your return later this year.

If you are a foodie .....you are in for a real treat. My husband and I have stayed at hotel cheval, wild coyote and were finally organized enough and lucky to book this far enough in advance to get a spot. (Would not return to the first two - not bad but just ok) but hard to try any others after the overall experience here- Wow!!! All the reviews are true,...the hosts Dave and Karina have an amazing amount of passion, and skill and energy for what they do. They really enjoy their guests and weren't burnt out. They even shared an evening of Dave's fabulous wine and nibbles with us- thank you so much for the fabulous stay. Dave and Karina are so bright, well educated, patient and kind. Truly great company and

We love foodies and love'm even more when they espouse such nice comments. You two have struck the right cord: cooks (K&D) love folks who love food - but with discernment as is obviously the case here. So come back soon so we can cook up a storm for the two of you again. It would be our great pleasure.

My wife & I started a 30 yr anniversary wine country adventure in Paso
Robles and stayed in the Room with a View at Seven Quails B&B.
We were late arrivals but were happily assisted by our hosts
in the night-time drive to the property and warmly greeted at the door.
When we awoke the next morning and saw the view out of our room we
could not believe it - amazing. It only got better as we sat down for a
delicious breakfast and got to know Dave & Karina a little better.
On our second day (after returning from various tastings) we were also
treated to snacks and sharing a wonderful bottle of Dave's '07 cab as well
as great conversation. We truly enjoyed the time spent at Seven Quails
and hope to be back soon!

We know it hard to leave Florida for California but you came at a wonderful time of year to enjoy Paso, October with warm days and cool nights. We’d also submit that Paso summers are far more conducive a relaxed body and mind when both are not contending with high humidity and evening temperatures. So we thank you for letting others know that you enjoyed your stay at Seven Quails. Now, don’t be strangers to our door sill.

My husband and I were treated by our three adult children and their spouses to two nights at Seven Quails Bed and Breakfast. What an amazing treat! We were warmly welcomed by Dave and Karina at our arrival. We toured their vineyard, discussed grape growing, rested in our room and then joined them and another couple staying in the second bedroom for a wine tasting and a spread of cheese, nuts and fruit. The next morning we enjoyed a three course breakfast and began our day visiting wineries. I wholeheartedly recommend Seven Quails Bed and Breakfast! You will love your room, your evening wine tasting, and the absolutely delicious breakfast. I can't wait to return to this wonderful B and B and reunite with our new friends, Dave and Karina.

Room Tip: Both rooms are excellent choices.
