One of the best places in Paso Robles for really solid wines at excellent prices. A true undiscovered gem. Worth the time to go there.

Be careful getting off the 101 on the right street, as Paso Robles insists on making streets difficult. John poured our wine when we arrived and was a walking book on wine, etc. Very nice place, very nice guy. Write out all your questions, he will know everything! Heck, I dislike wine and I even was getting into it!

This is a beautiful place among the rolling hills. Don't let the windy dirt road scare you from coming here. It's so peaceful.

My husband and I were a little reluctant to visit some wineries since we had our 10 month old baby in tow, but the girls here made us feel really comfortable saying children and dogs are welcome! You can tell they love wine and are really passionate about it. We did the free wine tasting and even got to taste a few Cabs wines straight from the barrels! Nice!

We ending up buying 2 bottles of the 2010 Zinfandel and a bottle of the "Prelude" - a delicious white blend...can't wait to open our bottles and dream about walking in the hills of this beautiful place!

Went here on the advice of a friend. So glad we did. It's a small winery with just afew employees. The reds were solid and they ere kind enough to let us taste from the barrels. They went out of their way to answer all of our questions about wine and the process. Since we were able to meet the owner we were really able to get a real clear picture of what the day to day operations is like. A very fun experience for sure!!

Visited Ecluse with one of my daughters and her husband. It was a chance visit as my daughter picked it at random from an app on her i-phone. This is a small family run operation, just the owners and 3 employees. All their vines are tended by hand, not machine. This plus the extra dedication in crafting the wines makes for a really excellent product. We were met by owner Steve Lock who placed glasses in our hands while saying "hello." The atmosphere is very friendly. Steve took extra time the answer all our questions about barrels, blending and wine making in general. His pours for tasting are just right -- not like the over pours of some wineries that quickly dull your palate. Ecluse reds are spectacular! They are not cheap but yet are not overly expensive considering the quality. If you are in the Paso area I would recommend this as a "must stop."
