We stayed at Orchard Hill Farm for our anniversary weekend and it was perfect! Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and had a private balcony with a gorgeous view. It is in separate building from the main house - perfect for privacy. There is another guest room and bath in the building (which also contains a kitchen and sitting area), however since it was unoccupied during our visit, we had the whole place to ourselves. It is spacious enough that even if it had been occupied, there would have been plenty of room for everyone. Debbie and Doug are lovely, gracious, and helpful hosts, and Debbie's breakfasts were delicious and beautiful. Would love to visit again soon!

From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Debbie was in her gardening clothes and Doug was good-naturedly giving us a hard time about our college football allegiances! It was like instant family! Beautiful room, a lovely bottle of wine with a plate of quality cheeses, olives, nuts and crackers; and a nice deck to sit on while enjoying the view. Debbie can give you great recommendations on wineries and restaurants if you haven't made your own plans.
And then seeing the main house the next morning for breakfast was a step back in time to an era when hospitality and interesting conversation in a beautiful setting was the norm for a quality establishment. And the breakfast was sooo good......don't even get me started!

My husband and I have stayed here 2 or 3 times and it's by far our favorite place to stay in the central valley. It's so peaceful and relaxing. This place has a long driveway so there are no road noises at night, and during the day the occasional chicken or cow will meander by.

If you want to relax and get away from it all, this is the place for you. If you want to stay up late and party, better find another place.

The hospitality is excellent, and the breakfast always sumptuous and varied. Well worth the price.

Room Tip: Only 4 rooms...all are excellent.

We travelled in April to this little slice of heaven and we miss it. As we drove down Vineyard Drive in the early evening on the day of our arrival, we felt elated when we realized that the beautiful home at the top of the hill was the Orchard Hill Farm B&B. I really don't think there is a better location in all of Paso Robles. The grounds are simply beautiful, the B&B absolutely charming, and the view from the hill top is breathtaking. If you like green, or if you need green like me (a beach city dweller) you will get your fix. Debbie and Doug make the perfect hosts complete with lots of local tips. We travelled with our kids (ages 15 and 12) and we occupied the Garden View room with the additional room. It was a perfect set up. One night we got take out, ate outdoors watching the sunset, played Monopoly until the wee hours in our room and then we sent them off to their room. A perfect trip.

As a B&B owner, you can imagine I might be more critical than most guests. Perhaps I am! This beautiful property is so gorgeous, the grounds are lush and invite you to spend time walking around smelling the roses and enjoying the beautiful birds, that it is hard to leave. We are three couples who travel together, and the accommodations couldn't have been more perfect for our group. The Carriage House has two rooms with a large common area, completely stocked with dishes etc. so you can have a meal "at home" if you want. The room my husband and I had was the Garden View. It has a separate bedroom in case you have a 3rd or 4th person, which one night we did, so it was even more perfect than we could have hoped for. We had a lovely picnic outside one evening on the large table on the patio, and Debbie even left a beautiful French tablecloth to enhance our dining experience. Grace, the beautiful resident cat, visited us whenever we were outdoors, which we all just adored, as we are big animal lovers. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and contain every amenity you could want. Debbie provided us with a lovely cheese & fruit plate, and a bottle of wine, in all our rooms, which we enjoyed outdoors on our arrival. We enjoyed our wine tasting, of course, as we love the Paso Robles wineries, but as other guests have mentioned, it was hard to leave this beautiful place. Debbie and Doug are great hosts, and we really enjoyed the beautifully prepared breakfasts, and their excellent hospitality. We can't wait to return!

This amazing large country home in the middle of wine country sits on a hill in a pastoral setting, surrounded by vineyards and green rolling fields. Great wineries are literally across the street.

There are three and a half rooms available for guests. The main house has a room with an adjacent small room with two twin beds-- certainly an acceptable arrangement for two familiar couples, I would think. But we stayed in the nearby cottage, which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and sitting area, decks, and a natural gas "wood burning" stove, which was very comfortable. We were a party of two couples so the cottage and the surrounding patios, decks were ours alone for our two night stay-- private, quiet, beautiful; an ideal arrangement for four familiar people. (Though the cottage is quite large, I might feel a little odd sharing it with strangers, but that is just me. It is probably done all the time). Traveling as a couple, I probably would request the room in the main house, The Garden View Room.

The rooms are immaculate, quiet, and worth the expense--you get what you pay for. Doug and Deborah are really terrific hosts, able to walk the fine line of sharing their home(s) with guests and not being intrusive, respecting their guest's privacy. They are willing to give you as much conversation, advise, and help as you need. Deborah was particularly helpful as we organized visits to wineries and tasting rooms.

Our breakfasts were very good, also. The cottage was also well-stocked--good coffee beans were in our kitchen area, with a small grinder and a full sized drip coffee maker. A bottle of good wine was in the refrigerator for us. And a plate of delicious baked goods was in the room as well as a generous cheese platter. We had everything we needed. I will definitely stay there again when in Paso Robles.

We stayed at Orchard Hill with the expectation that the local wine tasting would be the highlight of the trip but the B&B grounds are so beautiful and the hospitality so thorough, it was hard to leave each day for the wineries. We had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the sunny balcony overlooking the valley where we drank our morning coffee. Breakfast is amazing. We will return for sure.
