I highly recommend the Inn Paradiso in Paso Robles. It is a gorgeous property situated just outside of downtown Paso Robles. There are four rooms in two rambling wood buildings. The rooms are upscale, with high quality sheets and comfortable beds. The indoor and outdoor space is breathtaking. There are several nooks with chairs and tables for reading and relaxing, including a deck with comfy wicker chairs and a large hammock. It is very quiet and peaceful, with the wind blowing through the trees. There is a pool and hot tub, perfect for cooling off after a day of summer wine tasting. The owners and inn keepers are friendly and accommodating. They cook a spectacular organic breakfast every morning that is served on an outdoor patio in the summer, and the big main room of the guest house in cooler times. They have great recommendations for activities in the Paso area. I felt so comfortable and relaxed here, I could have stayed a week. Will be back soon.

Room Tip: The Gaudi room has a second bedroom in a loft that would be great for a family.

Our expectations were high but, unbelievably, they were exceeded by this lovely property. The building is one of a kind with attention to detail that is is astonishing. Each of the guest suites have their own name and character and are full of original art and interesting pieces that have been collected by the owners of the inn. Lots of care has gone into creating a calm and comfortable respite for guests...... Everything from bath salts to candles to fresh flowers, local candy and local coffee. Breakfasts are made from fresh eggs from a neighbors chickens and fruits and vegetables grown on the property. Our hosts, Steve and Gazella (apologies for the spelling!), are as charming and original as the inn. They were enormously helpful is providing information about the area ...... Wineries to restaurants to real estate! We loved it and look forward to staying with them again.

Room Tip: We were in Carlo Molino and would select it again... Beautiful open bath room with large soaking tub...

We stayed at Inn Paradiso because we were attending an area wedding. It is quiet, clean, relaxing, beautiful. Our room was wonderful - comfortable bed, fireplace, large jacuzzi tub, huge shower. There are several outdoor areas to enjoy. There's a lovely porch with a hammock, a beautiful pool, and we were served our breakfast outside on the patio. It's a wonderful place and worth the price.

What a great place to stay. We visited Paso Robles with our family and selected Inn Paradiso as a place to stay based on comments that I read here on Trip Advisor. The Inn Paradiso was exactly what we were looking for. Very clean, unique, great setting, a big break away from a typical hotel, a very thoughtful organic breakfast served with food from their property (the property has various fruit trees, etc. on it), and fantastic hosts (who ensured that every need was taken care of, e.g., leaving umbrellas by our door given a brief rain). When we are back in the area, we'll be sure to stay here again. Thanks for the great experience.

Room Tip: If you're looking for something different, the room with the loft is fun (requires a spiral stai...

Yes, my boyfriend says if I use amazing one more time in my blog, my conversations, etc. he's going to lose it. Well, I tried to come up with all these fancy titles but at the end of the day, I thought to myself what would be the first thing out of my mouth if someone asked me about Inn Paradiso. I would in my over excited voice say, "OMG! It's soooo amazing!", in a voice similar to one in "Valley Girl" circa 1983 with Nicholas Cage!

From the beginning, we had nothing but a pleasurable experience. We made our reservation with Cindy who was very helpful and walked us through the process of what we could expect. She asked for any dietary restrictions, etc. She informed us that she would be on vacation and Donna would be assisting us. We arrived a bit early to Paso and Donna graciously assisted us while I was in my frazeled - got to get out and wine taste mode...she was very patient, sweet and gave us a wonderful overview and tour of the property. The property has three rooms. We ended up staying in the Maria Sabina room which is located on the second floor of the building. There are two rooms upstairs and one downstairs. Off of our room was a lovely outdoor patio that looked out over the pool, while it's a shared patio with the other room we had the entire porch to ourselves. They had lovely vintage wicker chairs, with John Robshaw fabrics and a lovely teak bench outside. They left candles and matches outside so you could create your own ambiance. I appreciated that since I love candlelight. We would relax after being out all day with a nice glass of wine. The property itself is unique to the area. There really are no words to try to describe the property other than it's even better in person. It's hard to capture the essence of it and how magical it really feels when you are there.

The two upstairs rooms look over the main common area - you can keep the door open or closed. Our room was spotless, lovely linens and robes from John Robshaw as well as spa robes for those that like longer robes. Our bed was super comfortable. Our room had a nice shower with great water pressure with beautiful soaps. For those that like to relax there was a separate spa like tub with lovely bath salts, toiletry items, fresh rosemary, and a candle for you to relax. They stocked our room with wine glasses, fresh water daily, lovely chocolates, almond bark and nuts (assortment changed daily), a kettle, a french press for those that enjoy coffee and an assortment of teas. It also had a small refrigerator incase you needed to keep something cold. Fresh rosemary grown on the property was sprinkled throughout the room along with a vase of fresh flowers. I found these touches thoughtful and nicely done.

Breakfast was served daily. They served breakfast in the main common area on a lovely table that Steve the owner had converted from a large piece of redwood that was found on the property. Fresh flowers on the table, beautiful vintage silverware, and lovely little details for those that enjoy presentation and aesthetics. We stayed three nights - the first morning (I don't eat eggs and had only requested fruit) my boyfriend was served a "Cup of LIfe" which consisted of home made yogurt, granola and fresh fruit and an omelette (have no idea how to spell since I don't eat eggs) with fresh veggies, beans, and various items. I was served an assortment of fresh fruit which was delicious. The breakfasts for the remainder of the stay were incrediable. All the eggs are fresh, veggies from their garden, and flowers picked from their property really make it make special.

We were able to meet and spend time with the owners Steve and his girlfriend Gisela. We found them both very charming, down to earth, knowledgeable about the area and very approachable. I love to antique and only blame Steve for me spending too much money since he recommended several places to shop. Donna the Inn Keeper was friendly, warm, attentive and if you needed something she was available and helpful. We couldn't have found a warmer group of people. We really felt like we were with old friends.

We are already looking at our schedule to figure out when we can come back. This is the ideal getaway for people who are looking to relax and enjoy their surroundings. There are no tv's in the rooms or in the common area. I am a tv junky and found it a welcoming break. It's the perfect place to read, spend time with friends, your signficant other or your family. For those that like to wine taste, we found it easy to access all the wineries and in the ideal location after a long day to hop into down. Some places are further out but Inn Paradiso's location made it easy to come home and change and head into town for dinner since it was close to downtown. I know they mentioned the property is still evolving as it's been a process for them to refurbish Inn Paradiso. My only feedback as a guest would be (like one of the other reviewers) is it would be great to have a few lounge chairs and a little table by the pool for relaxing. I have no doubt this is something they will do but I selfishly am saying this because the next time - we want to be lazy and do nothing but lay by the pool and read! LOL!
Overall, this is one place not to be missed and is a breathe of fresh air for those that love design and architecture. We will definetely be coming back. While we want them to thrive in their business.....secretly, we want to keep this hidden gem to ourselves for selfish reasons.

A big thank you to Gisela, Donna and Steve for making this a memorable trip for us creating a space where we can come and relax, enjoy, and recharge our batteries. The only negative is we had to leave but the positive is we will be back. We look forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: All rooms are well appointed and spread out for privacy. Will add more photos later having a hard ti...

Fabulous find! We went to wine country for our 25th anniversary and could not have picked a better place to spend it. The INN was everything we expected and more. Tranquil, romantic, clean, great location. Our room was wonderful; king bed with comfy linens, a fireplace and huge jacuzzi bathtub with a shower for 2! Everything was spotless and the details such as beautiful decanters filled with filtered water, the most amazing bath products, robes, large comfy pills placed in just the right places. The innkeeper, Cindy, is wonderful. She is attentive and available anytime. She prepares the most amazing organic breakfasts, served in "courses" We began with the "cup of life" a soup with herbs and fruits from their gardens, and the fresh eggs from their own chickens and the homemade yogurt. The great room is a wonderful room to sit by a beautiful fireplace, read, or just relax on the oversized couch and chairs. The antiques and collectibles all over the property is beautiful. We will be back!!!

We stayed two nights in Feb. as part of a long President's Day weekend. We had stayed here several years ago, once, when the property was under a previous owner. A nice visit, the room very nice, but the property was then in serious need of a lot of attention. The grounds were untended, the house had lots of things not working, etc.

Based on all the recent rave reviews, we decided to give Inn Paradiso another try. What an amazing transformation. The potential of this magical place has now been fully realized. The grounds are impeccable, the stonework detailing and masonry is beautiful, the house has been fully tended to with beautiful woodwork complementing the original timbers and architecture. The pool area looks most inviting as well, surely an added bonus if one is here in the heat of a Paso summer. A visual delight all around.

Cyndi has replaced Dawna as the resident hostess. She is a delight. Charming, engaging, hospitable, and accommodating. She is a wizard in the kitchen for breakfast, yogurts, spelt pancakes, oatmeal, all simple (as we had requested) but delicious, filling, and as fresh as could be. Her broth, tofu and fresh greens soup our second morning was pure magic. And, thanks to Judith for her most able assistance in the kitchen in the mornings. Oh, special kudos to Cyndi for her marinated olives in the evening.

We had the place to ourselves given our mid-week visit. The Inn has 3 rooms in total in the main guest house. Each room is well separated from the others, so even if the Inn is fully booked we expect all guests would have complete privacy. There are so many alcoves, spots to sit and simply unwind, both inside and out, that one can easily get lost in the tranquility and calm of the Inn.

And, of course, it is perfectly situated as a home base for wine touring. We most highly recommend this gem. The Inn now truly lives up to its name.
