“Quiet on a Friday Night, But What a Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2012

This was a truly remarkable dining experience. We loved the modern decor, the unique paintings throughout and the service was second to none. The ribeye by the way was ridiculously good as was just about everything else we tried. They also had a great wine selection, both imported and local varieties.

“Fenomenal is...”

Beautifully presented and delicious! Tea smoked scallops were amazing! The bartender matched it with a local semillon that matched perfectly.
Highly recommended!

“Beatiful Presentation of Amazing Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2012

The food here is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. All the dishes are presented beautifully and the taste is just so amazing and multi-layered. We sat at the bar and our bartender was just great and offered wonderful beer and pairing ideas for our multiple dishes. The one thing that I will say about this restaurant is that I do not enjoy having my wine poured so methodically exactly from the wine saver - as a wine traveler I love to ask the bar tender if I can see the bottle, so that I can learn more about the wine. I understand that if you are going to offer that many wines by the glass that you need to have a way to preserve the open bottles, but the large contraption and exact amounts seem to take the finesse out of ordering a glass of wine. I would have preferred a smaller wine by the glass list and a more intimate pouring and presentation of the wine. If you can get past this part everything else is top notch.

“Innovative dishes, perfectly executed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 October 2012

Our first time here, and we were extremely impressed. The "tapas" are not too small -- perfect, in fact, to share between two. Every single dish we had was innovative, with multiple layers of taste and texture, worth one's full attention. Particularly impressive: the tuna sashimi, tea-smoked scallops, the stunning ribs, and their award-winning mac and cheese (yes -- a fun contrast to the complex other dishes!). The menu of wines by the glass is extensive, with the option of half glasses, and always with tastes before deciding on a (full) glass. Service was excellent -- friendly, attentive, very well informed. The prices are still very reasonable for the quality of food. We live in Providence, RI, a foodies' city, and our standards are high; fenomal ranks among the very best.

“Excellent stop for wine tasting!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2012 via mobile

We just had an amazing wine tasting from around the world with a white watermelon amuse-bouche and pork rib appetizer. Wonderful collage of flavors!
