Owner description: In 1973, Gary Eberle began his career in the wine industry by heading his family's Estrella River Winery (currently 360 Degrees in Paso Robles) and produced 500,000 cases a year at its facility. Eberle's pioneering spirit didn't stop there. In 1980, he co-founded the Paso Robles Appellation and in 1983, Gary opened the doors to his own Eberle Winery with the premiere of Eberle's 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, Eberle handcrafts 25,000 cases of wine each year from surrounding Estate vineyards. And, after more than 33 years since the release of the Eberle label, the winery consistently remains one of the highest award-winning wineries in the United States. The German name "Eberle" translates to "small boar." At Eberle Winery, a bronze boar greets every guest who visits the Tasting Room. The statue is the 93rd replica of the original bronze Porcellino cast by Tacca in 1620. And today, the original can be found in the straw market in Florence, Italy. It is considered good luck to rub the boar's nose and toss a coin in the water below. Guest enjoy complimentary wine tasting and cave tours daily. Reservations for VIP Tour & Tasting, groups of 8 or more guests or reserve tastings please contact in advance.

“My Favorite Winery on the Central Coast”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

I love Eberle wine, especially the Reds. My recent favorites would have to be the 2009 or 2010 Steinbeck Syrah; however, you can never go wrong with the Reserve Cab. That one never disappoints! The annual Paso Robles Wine Festival in May is an event that I never miss and that my family from the Midwest makes sure to fly out for. Gary Eberle is a legend! My family loves spending the Sunday of Wine Fest Weekend at Eberle, where you will find the always personable Gary grilling out for his guests in front of the winery, which offers a stunning view of the Paso wine country. One of the great things about Eberle is the mix of people that you run into while wine tasting. People come from all over the US for the wine and atmosphere and everyone is so friendly. Gary's wife Marci, the marketing and PR Guru behind the wine, is always on hand to answer questions and a lot of the Eberle employees have been there for years. Their knowledge of wine supersedes most that I have met, both on the central coast and in Napa/Sonoma. The winery is currently under-going some ownership changes, but I think as long as Gary and Marci are still there, Eberle will continue to produce consistently great wines.

Fun visit to this winery yesterday with friends. Very friendly place to hang out - some very good wines. Will do the cave tour sometime in the future. Nice views. Good people. And dog friendly!

“Wine and Cave Tour”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

The winery was very nice and I really enjoyed the cave tour. The wines were good but the only wine I really liked was the $75 Reserve Cab. Really no complaints, I would recommend a visit but the wines just weren't what we liked.

Reviewed 30 April 2014

This was a great winery, we enjoyed it so much we went back a couple of days later. They have a nice wine caller tour that was free. And the wine was Fabulous! Bought several bottles. The view was nice staff very friendly. Would definitely go back again when in Paso Robles.

“OK”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

We visited Eberle winery last weekend, we did not know it was the end of the big Zin fest in paso Robles . The staff who took care of us was not in the mood to work , no comments on the wine how its made or anything.
Just poured the samples, not background info.
Could have been good, she just wanted to go home as it was a long weekend!
Too bad after the reviews we expected a lot more
