This place is great, cozy and friendly. You won't be amazed with Tuscan grandeur but you feel like you are visiting family. They have Portuguese cheeses and bread, grape seed oils and infusions, truffle spreads, marinated goat cheeses, and the wines are good too. This wine is reasonably priced for what you get. I don't like Merlot but they have one that was good enough to buy, lol Cabs, Syrahs, you owe it to yourself to come in and see Beth and Rosie!

It felt like walking into your grandmother's kitchen! (if she had wine, too). A small tasting room in a cottage. They had snacks out: cheese, bread, persimmon pie, persimmon bread. I think I gained 5 pounds just tasting the great food! And, the wine was excellent!

I've been visiting wineries for over 40 years and Penman Springs harkens back to the days of planks on barrels in the cellars. No glitz, no buzz just very good wines and nice people proud of their wines. Wine tasting like it used to be. Beth McCasland brightens the tasting room as no one else can and makes everyone welcome. Their reds are the rock they've built their reputation on and I feel they make the best Petite Sirah in Paso. A little out of the way but well worth the effort. We try to tour the Paso Robles the weekend before Christmas because the crowds are panicking in the Malls not in the wineries and Beth and Rosie always have a lot of "snacks" out.
A don't miss place.

So vineyards and many tasting rooms in Paso are going the way of Napa - come in, drop you money off and get out.
Beth and Rosie were so friendly and nice to spend some time with. The room itself is simple and small. A few chairs, a table where Beth is almost always working on a puzzle (and welcomes help) and there is always nice, fresh food that sits on the tasting bar to help you wash down some really nicely made wines.

She has a great rose this year and we likes the petit verdot as well.

This is a good, affordable wine in a small but very friendly atmosphere.

Enjoy the scenary and the people that come along with this nice place.
