“Very nice place. Seriously, as good as people rate it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2013

We stayed here for 2 nights in mid August. It seriously is a great villa from where you can base your Paso trip. Here's what we loved:
1. Ultra comfortable bed. Seriously, insanely comfortable.
2. Delicious breakfasts and very good coffee--had croissant French toast first day, wife had a leek quiche the next day, I had blueberry pancakes.
3. Wine and cheese in the late afternoon, to wind down the day and relax pre-dinner. Oh, and the wine choices they offered were very knowledgeable and flexible based on our likes.
4. Very helpful hosts, Jim and Diane. Ridiculously nice and helpful with a few solid, very enjoyable winery recommendations (Daou, Tablas Creek, and Adelaida). They also recommended Denner, but we didn't have a reservation and ran out of time.
5. Views from the balcony of our room. Pretty cool wildlife hangs out there, so while there are no TVs there, unwind, sit on the balcony, and enjoy watching the wildlife!

Will we return? YES. I gained a much better appreciation of Paso wine and you would be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay.

We have spent three months traveling in 2013, staying in some spectacular accommodations on Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia. This small B&B in California is one of the absolute highlights, and the very best place we have stayed in the US. The intimate feel, the lovely views of the neighboring vineyards, the wonderful breakfast served in the backyard and off course the fabulous wine from local cellar doors all made our stay at Canyon Villa complete. Diane and Jim made us feel so welcome, and gave expert advice on which cellar doors to visit. We are actually thinking about returning (from Norway – that’s quite a distance) for a second stay next summer, with our extended family. I almost didn`t want to review this place, just to keep it a secret. Well – the secret is out my fellow TA users, this is the place to stay in Paso Robles!

We stayed for two glorious nights celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. Jim and Diane, the owners, are lovely people! The food was outstanding and the house was gorgeous. It's in a secluded, peaceful location which was perfect for star gazing. There is plenty of wildlife to be seen. Diane recommended great activities and dining options. We will be back some day soon!!

We have been going to the Paso Robles Wine Country for about 10 years. For the past 7 years we have visited The Canyon Villa B & B because of it's location, beauty, serenity and mainly, the innkeepers, Diane and Jim.

When you arrive here, you are warmly greeted by Diane or Jim, who pay attention to every detail to make your stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. The environment is Mediterranean style and decor and the location at the top of the hill has beautiful views of surrounding vineyards and rolling hills. You'll be certain to see the deer grazing in the neighboring field. This past trip, I counted 20 deer, including fawns in the early morning and later afternoon hours. On one visit we caught a fox drinking from the fountain in the back patio.

If you are visiting for the wine in the area, Diane and Jim can help you to find the best wineries for your taste. Diane keeps up with the most recent news of wineries, restaurants and shops in the area and can help you with choices for dining and spending your day out and about.

Diane is an amazing chef, preparing wonderful full breakfasts before your day in Paso Robles and surrounding areas. She knows what we like and accommodates dietary restrictions that guests may need.

We have never had a disappointing time or any negative experiences while staying at The Canyon Villa, which is why we return as often as we can. We have met great guests who have become friends while staying here that we continue to see on a regular basis. The Canyon Villa is a place to meet for relaxing, rejuvenating, romantic experiences that will become favorite memories. At least they are for us.

Room Tip: There is one King room in this B & B of 4 rooms. All rooms have wonderful bedding. We've sta...

This was our second stay at The Canyon Villa and we were not disappointed. This B&B is so elegant and luxurious. Not only is the Villa beautiful but the views are absolutely breathtaking! Each morning we were treated to a scrumptious breakfast made by Diane - she is a fantastic cook. She is also very helpful with providing recommendations for wineries, restaurants, and other activities. Both she and her husband Jim have created a place where one can just let their cares melt away. My husband and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary and we knew that we wanted to spend it at The Canyon Villa. It was so romantic.

This was our second visit to Canyon Villa Bed and Breakfast and it did not disappoint even though there was 7 years between stays. We came with three other couples and had the place to ourselves. The owners, Diane and Jim, could not have been more accommodating. Setting up reservations for wine tastings, recommending restaurants in downtown Paso (a ten minute drive) and serving a gourmet breakfast every morning.

The rooms are impeccably clean and spacious with views of the nearby vineyards. The bathrooms are lovely and all have jacuzzi tubs.

We will definitely return to our "Tuscan" villa in Paso for another memorable visit.

This was our 2nd visit, and our 6th anniversary, with Diane and JIm at Canyon Villas. We stayed in the upstairs room facing the side of the property and above the room we stayed in the 1st visit. I can tell you that the 2nd time was even better, because we new what to expect and really looked forward to all the little things. Great breakfast, wine and cheese paired just for us. Great tips on a few new upcoming wineries.
We were able to attend the Paso Robles Mid-state fair and see Trace Adkins this time around. The weather was awesome.
We are thinking of making this a tradition for our anniversary

Kevin and Tedde

Room Tip: all rooms are really good. We are trying to stay in all four rooms over time.
