“A great addition to the area”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2008

We have been to "Paso" many times in the past. Now there are more choices of hotels than before. La Bellasera is standing out in an area that really needs trees around the hotel to make it more warm and inviting. Once you get inside there is a feeling that you are in another world. The atmosphere is somewhat Italian.
That being said, we were so happy and impressed with the staff and all the genuine hospitality that is very easily given.
The rooms are very comfortable. The spas are terrific. It was a chilly evening so the fireplaces were welcome.
We really enjoyed the well rated hotel restaurant,Enotec. The bartender,Dennis, was just great and is real good at what he does!
The hotel is close to all the wineries where you can find lots of varieties of wine and beautiful Spring scenery.
We are going to go back, that is for sure!
PS- We are from Northern California and Hawaii

I spent one night at the La Bella Sera on a weekend trip with my parents, my sister and brother in law. I chose the hotel mainly because of the fact that it can accommodate the 5 of us, and is within close proximity to Hearst Castle (our destination the following morning).

The hotel is nearby a shopping center but I didn't find it as disturbing as other reviewers. In fact the view from our window was still beautiful - there were wineries located in almost all directions. The room was nicely appointed but a little small (for a suite at $300 a night) though we did enjoy the free internet and 2 flat screen t.v.'s. The only drawback was no tub, only a shower.

The drive from the hotel, through the many vineyards on the way to the PCH was soooo beautiful. My dad said it was much more scenic than Napa.

In the morning, coffee and fruits were provided downstairs at the lobby.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights in Paso Robles and enjoyed the community. LaBellaserra is very nicely appointed and spacious. We had a suite with a kitchenette, full refrigerator, stovetop plus a fireplace. There were Two plasma TVs and the granite tops, crown moulding and top of the line linens are very nice. Off of the suite were two balconies which would have been enjoyable except the hotel overlooks the 101 Freeway as well as the back of a run down old motel.

I would rate this hotel as a 4 star but its location really hurts the ambience. It is a shame because the hotel itself is very nice.

It is on highway 46 which when taken westerly is one of the prettiest drives along the central coast (inland).

Do not even consider a treatment at the poor excuse for a spa at the La Bellasera hotel and spa. The spa consists of one room which is adjacent to the workout facility. You wait for your treatment in the lobby and then are escorted through the workout room to a treatment room. I ordered 2 90-min massages at the same time and was told they could accomodate me. We ended up getting a "couples" massage because they are not really a spa but just single room. Good thing it was with my husband or it would have been terribly uncomfortable. Anyway -- the masseuse spent 30 minutes of 90 actually massaging me, kept dropping hot stones on the floor and walking across the room to get more stones. Terrible, terrible. Please, I urge you not to get a very overpriced treatment at la bellasera spa.

p.s. the hotel is fine

My wife and I spent four nights on the central California coast on a Valentine's Day trip. We stayed at a Hyatt, a Marriott, at Casa Munras in Monterey, and at La Bellasera. This was our favorite hotel. We LOVED La Bellasera. It is an elegant, romantic, comfortable property with attention to hospitable details. The location is excellent - 35 minutes from Hearst Castle and 25 minutes from San Luis Obispo. We enjoyed the deep hot tub in our bedroom, the comfortable bed, and the plush linens. The fitness room was a hit for us. The staff seemed delighted to host us. We can't wait to spend more time at La Bellasera in the coming years - especially while our child is a student at Cal Poly.

This hotel is seriously so awesome. It's right on the 101/46W, making it a very easy jaunt to wherever you'd like to go on the Central Coast of California. The staff was excellent, the food was amazing, the room, don't even get me started. We had a King Spa, with a deep and relaxing spa tub in the room. The bed was super comfortable. There was a refrigerator where we could keep all our goodies we collected while wine tasting throughout the day. We also had an in-room massage for two where they brought and set up the massage tables for us.

I just can't say enough about the excellent service and overall indulgent quality of this hotel. Well worth the price.

One other thing - my husband and I reserved with Elegant Image Limo for an all day wine tasting - and they were also superb. An excellent and knowledgeable driver - Fabian - took us to many out of the way wineries that we might not have otherwise visited. We had a blast and arrived back at the hotel safely.

Please go and stay at La Bellasera so that this young hotel succeeds so we can all keep enjoying it in the future!

Thank you La Bellasera!

I originally booked the hotel through Orbitz. I had to cancel 24 hours out due to illness. Even though the hotel was not full they refused a refund. I later rebooked directly with the hotel for the next day. Upon checkout I wrote the General Manager telling her about my experience at the hotel (generally good) and asked for some refund consideration. I never received a reply nor a refund.
Hotel room had good bed, great tv and very noisy refrigerator.
Restaurant service was slow (crowded) but food quite good
