“Gorgeous Hotel! Wonderful Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2009

This is a gorgeous property. It is an opulent Italian style villa with all the upgrades and amenities you could desire. The rooms are spectacular. They are large, plush and elegant! Mine had a jacuzzi tub surrounded by Roman columns with a beautiful mural behind the tub. There was granite and marble, beautiful fabrics, a sitting area, nice desk, and very, very comfortable bed with exquisite linens. Turn down service excellent and gracious staff everywhere from turn down service, to front desk, to bellman, to restaurant. Wonderful experience. I would love to return. This is not your typical stop along the 101 Freeway, it's a masterpiece designed with the ultimate luxury in mind.

See above. Otherwise was fine. Clean bedding. Nice appointments in every way, but the noise in the room was deafening.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous for out of towners. But let me tell this to the locals (or anyone who is looking into a destination wedding here) DO NOT host a wedding or large event at this hotel. I've been dealing with the sales manager for over a year, and I can't even believe how disappointed I am. He is extremely forgetful and unprofessional. You have to actually walk in and talk to him in order to get a response for anything, he does not reply to e-mails. Seriously. I e-mailed three times over two weeks, and he never replied. I had to call and talk to the general manager and complain about him. Planning a wedding all on your own is a lot of hard and stressful work. This individual is making the planning a nightmare for me. I have to ask for things at least twice in order to get them done, I've had to call twice to complain about him, it's just a mess. Please take my advice, do not host an event here. I've never written a review for a hotel in my entire life, but this situation is just so ridiculous. I know it's a nice hotel, and their prices for an event are outstanding, but I guess that's why the service is so poor. I wish I would have booked my wedding somewhere else, and paid more, just to save myself from this headache.

But like I said, if you are vacationing, it's great. But for large group events, don't bother.

What a pleasant surprise this was! Location was right off the freeway which had me a little skeptical, but it was actually convenient for area wine-tasting & not at all negative. We had a room on the non-freeway side which was very quiet. Even though the hotel was completely full one night of our two-night stay, we never heard any noise. Everything in the room is planned for convenience & upscale comfort. Wonderful bathroom & jacuzzi; comfy bed, great linens, service friendly & professional. Although we usually don't use internet access while on vacation, it was so very convenient that we took time to do a little on the internet! If anything takes us again to the Paso Robles area, we will definitely stay there again!

Truly, a luxury hotel. Many amenities that go beyond what one finds in other high end hostelries.

The staff is exceptionally forthcoming, pleasant and helpful. Ask for Michelle, the concierge who goes beyond excellent in her capacity.

The price is amazingly affordable for the level of luxury provided .

It is near the freeway, but absolutely quiet in the rooms.

We will stay at this hotel again.

I watched La Bellasera get built very slowly over the course of a few years while I stayed at the nearby Hampton Inn & Suites repeatedly for travel up and down the coast on Highway 101. Finally got to stay there.... LOVED IT!

My standards for quality are very high. I only like hotels with very modern and new furnishings. I'm also a stickler for cleanliness...and my eyesight is VERY good! So I notice anything not quite right.

I have to say that everything about this hotel was first rate. It's a small property, which gave it a cozy feel. It seemed completely brand new and extremely well maintained. Clearly, no expense was spared in the choice of furnishings throughout the common areas and guest rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The food in the restaurant is excellent, much better than most hotel restaurants (though not cheap). The pool area is small but very nicely furnished with an outdoor fireplace. The room furnishings are exquisite. The two room suite I had was very very spacious, felt like a small apartment. There was lots of accent lighting, free wifi, and a high-tech flat screen TV that could also serve as a computer monitor. The room had both a stocked mini-bar fridge as well as a fridge I could use for my own stuff. The bathroom was all ceramic tiles with a beautiful walk-in shower. Gorgeous.

The location is immediately adjacent to an on/off ramp to Highway 101. I suppose that could mean there's some highway noise on rooms that face the freeway, but mine was on the top floor and faced the back and was extremely quiet.

Also, if for any reason there were a bunch of kids in the pool, it was small enough that that could take away from the enjoyment for people who are not traveling with kids. But it was extremely quiet and tranquil around the pool while I was there.

There is the word "spa" in the title of the hotel, but I did not partake. One can definitely get spa treatments either in your own room or in a treatment room off the lobby, but I did not get the impression that there was a large, fully-staffed spa with fixed hours on premises; could be wrong about that; please check with the hotel directly if that's important to your stay.

Proximity to the many wineries in Paso Robles and the beach at Cambria and Morro Bay is excellent.

I was there mid-week and got an excellent rate ($169). I used room service twice and the rates were what you would expect for a Marriott or comparable hotel. The service was quick, polite, and accurate.

In brief, I loved everything about this place and will DEFINITELY be back as often as possible!

Great hotel! Very comfortable. We stayed in a King Suite. Large room with separate sitting and bed areas (no door between though). 2 large, flat sceen TV's, in room computer with free internet service, large bathroom/shower (no tub). In room coffee, mini bar, separate fridge for personal items, safe. Beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, nice linens. Great restaurant as well. I was expecting mediocre food from a hotel restaurant, but it was excellent (coconut crusted halibut was awesome!), and we also had excellent service. You won't be disappointed with the hotel or restaurant.
