“A Tasty Throwback”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Odyssey World Cafe reminds me of a hippy coffee shop from the 70's - good, hearty food at reasonable prices in a no frills setting. If you are like me and favor food over ambiance, you will love this restaurant - the bread is served in thick slices of rustic wholewheat, the specials tend towards old school classics like shrimp scampi and prime rib, and the desserts are unapologetically rich.

If you need waiters fawning over you and an extensive wine list, please go somewhere else - but if you just want good food at a reasonable price without any pretense, then step up to the counter, order and enjoy!

“Great food - better price”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Where else can one have a glass of wine, a salad or soup and a great main course for $15? And on top of that, really good food and a friendly staff? The decor is unique but not "off putting". We spoke to "locals" who say that they go there "all the time".

Four of us had lunch here.....and we all were just so-so with our meal. It was okay.....but we expected more. We will not return.

“Good food on a budget”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

Don't let the self ordering put you off. The food for value quotient here is above average and if you are on a budget, this is a restaurant for your list. The new england clam chowder is actually one of the best I have had on either coast. It is no frills atmosphere. Just down home cooking in Paso.

“Eclectic menu with lots of choices”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

I have eaten here many times. It's my go-to place for lunch. There's always something for every taste. The food is made from scratch and the portions are large. I always bring home leftovers. It's definitely casual dining. You order and pay at the counter then they bring you lunch. You're surrounded by local artwork. And they have a good local wine selection.
