Just a 1-night stay on long side trip to Paso Robles (from San Francisco). Very impressive inn looked almost new, with very clean, well-appointed rooms. Small gym area, very good breakfast with lots of hot & cold food options. Location is quiet, somewhat isolated (not that close to interstate or downtown Paso Robles) but next door to new-looking winery (San Antonio?). Did not realize Paso Robles area had 200+ wineries; stopped at a couple and was impressed; rivals Napa and Sonoma regions, I think. Downtown Paso Robles is a 3-minute drive and is definitely worth a stop. Small Saturday morning farmers market in park.
