“Nice place in good location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2013

This hotel is conveniently located just outside of downtown and not far from many of the wineries in Paso Robles. I found the hotel to be clean. They set out cookies in the lobby at 5:30. They have a restaurant that serves a breakfast buffet for $9.95 that includes omelets made to order. I have stayed there twice and will stay there again. Nothing fabulous, but it is a nice place to stay if you are going wine tasting. If you are going wine tasting around Christmas, the town is pretty dead before Christmas, but pretty lively after Christmas and before New Years.

Stayed two nights for a wedding. Great location, right off the freeway with a shopping plaza ~2min away. Our king bed room was clean and comfortable, with a decent-sized desk, couch, coffee table, and wardrobe closet. Lighting was very good (something that most hotel rooms lack). Wifi was fast, bathroom was clean, spacious, and had good water pressure. No complaints whatsoever.

Would definitely recommend, although the price was a bit steep (not sure if that's par for the course in Paso Robles).

If you havnt been to Paso yet dont be too shocked at the prices...everything is a little higher than a normal small town due to the "wine" culture. I thought Courtyard was nice but there were no frills. Breakfast had to be paid for ( albeit not much $7) and there were no frills in the room except free wifi. We ordered room service one night and even though we both had fries with our meal, we got no ketchup, no salt, no pepper no waters no nothing other than the food !!! But, again, the price for the room service was much less than a normal hotel would charge. All in all we would easily stay there again. Very central to all wine tasting and the coast and highways. If you are wine tasting, talk to Erika, she is a sweetheart and will fix you up with free tastings. She's the best they got !!

Room Tip: Ask for the non highway side of the building and face the mountains!!

My wife and I met up with some friends from Vegas and stayed two nights so we could visit several of the wineries in the area as a mini vacation. The rooms were very comfortable and clean but the service we received was exceptional and totally unexpected. The manager Ian went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Obed in guest services was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about some of the hidden gems (wineries) in the area. We received 5 star service without the 5 star price. Could not have asked for a better time.We will absolutely be going back again.

We stayed four nights in early December to attend a memorial service for someone very close to us. So we might have been more critical than usual, since it was such a tough time emotionally and we were far from home at the beginning of the Christmas season.

Instead, we were overwhelmed by the great service and quality of this Marriott. The included buffet breakfast was very good, including made-to-order omelets. Whenever we had a question or a problem, someone took care of it very quickly.

Someone had negotiated a very good price for those of us associated with the occasion, significantly less than what I could find on the Marriott site, even using our membership number and AAA discount.

This is a very, very nice Courtyard, well-located and staffed with very professional people. Our one disappointment was that the "bar" serves only wine, no hard liquor. Yes, it's in the heart of wine country, but we thought a well-stocked bar should offer more than wine. And the wines they sold were overpriced, so we didn't return after our first evening there.

Room Tip: The first room off the lobby on the first floor was far enough away that we had NO noise whatsoever...

I stopped in Paso Robles en route to L.A. from the SF Bay Area after driving in the rain and traffic for hours. The Courtyard by Marriott proved to be a comfortable stay. It is less than two miles from restaurants and shops, around the block from the 101, and down the street from Hwy 46.

The reception area was clean and welcoming. Check-in was easy. Nicole was personable and professional. The lounge area looked warm and inviting with the fireplaces going and the beautiful holiday decorations.

The room (w/2 queen beds) was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and amply stocked w/towels.

I had breakfast the next morning in the restaurant. The restaurant staff was a few minutes late setting up but they were professional and efficient, which made up for it!

It was fun to check out the gingerbread house displays by staff and rate it. All in all, it was a good experience!

Upon check-in we were greeted by Erika at the front desk. This girl has better concierge skills than many at the five-star resorts. She assisted in planning our meals and wine excursions. I'd come back for sure.
