This has been our go to hotel on numerous trips to Paso over the years as they have treated us right each time and the location is perfect for the area. The hotel has been remodeled recently and the rooms show it and they have added the Bistro area like all other CY properties. The staff is always friendly and welcoming when you walk in. There is a separate bar in the lobby where once a week they offer free local wine tastings to showcase the local wineries.
The rooms are nice, typical of what I've seen at most Courtyards across the country. Beds are comfortable, shower pressure is good and the cleaning service is on point. The suites are very nice, offering the additional living room, microwave, fridge and couches.
Rooms on the 101 side tend to have a little more noise from the cars going by but that doesn't bother me.
The hotel is located 1 mile south of the downtown Paso 'square' where there are plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy. Many of our friends ended up walking down there as it's a straight shot down Spring Street. A very short walk to the corner of Niblick Road and Spring is a bagel place that offers a great breakfast sandwich.
The pool area is okay but could use a few more lounge chairs for when it gets busier, it does have a shaded area for when the sun gets too hot.
The patio area next to the pool could use a little overhaul as there is only a patio table and chairs. Maybe some more landscaping or other accoutrements to liven it up more.
We've stayed in other hotels in the Paso area and found this one to be the quietest (you are dealing with people that go on wine tours) and charming.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper ask for a room that does not face the 101. Top floor also helps in cas...

I stayed here for 3 weeks and I could honestly say that I had a great time. The employees are really nice and are really helpful. And it's 5 minutes drive down to downtown Paso Robles. The only bad thing about this hotel is that they don't have a microwave in the room. There is one by the market in the lobby. It's kind of a hassle going all the way downstairs to heat your food especially if your room is at the top floor. Other than that, i really had a great time staying here.

This was a work related trip. The location was in a great location in Paso and within a moderate walk or a short drive to many great restaurants. The hotel has a "Bistro" that is open for B/L/D with a limited menu. It's a convenient hotel restaurant but not a very good value compared to some of the nice local ones.
The service desk was great and the pool was always clean and the furniture around it neat.
My two room attendants were Alma and Maria and they did an excellent job.
Clean rooms with the normal minnie fridge.
I would stay here again.

Room Tip: I had a 2nd Fl room without any issues.

Nice place a little spendy, nice rooms, nice staff, you have to pay for all meals, nothing included. bar located near front desk/Food area. On one night they had Wine tasting, lots of people.
Small fridge in room, internet slow, and hard to enter site.

Room Tip: stay on the back side, away from the highway.

I went online to marriott.com to book a room in Santa Maria, CA. This hotel popped up with the others, and I wound up booking this hotel, which ended up being 60 miles from Santa Maria. I called on the day of my arrival, upon finding out...and they would not refund my stay...they gave me Marriott customer service...which handed me over to reservations...which handed me back over to customer service...because they all chose not to work with me whatsoever.

Very impressed with this Courtyard. Hotel was updated from Courtyards I've stayed in in the past, both in the lobby and the rooms.

Lobby us clean and modern with a "bistro" and bar. Outside, there is a courtyard with tables, chairs and a fountain. Nice work area and plenty of seating and tables, as well as plentiful outlets.

Rooms are fairly spacious for this type of hotel. Refrigerator in room is appreciated. Free basic wi-fi was plenty good enough hit getting some work done and answering emails.

Staff was courteous and helpful pointing out where to eat in town. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel does not change. It has the potential to be one of the great CY properties but because the management company focuses too much on profit, it degrades the experience. I am a hard core traveller that needs to keep up my Marriott stays. I stay here only for that reason. Here is some stats - Internet is NOT free unless you want to consider speeds of less than 100Kbs up and down acceptable. I do not. There is no free breakfast at this hotel. Coffee is NOT free at this hotel. There are NO cookies when you return home at the end of the day. There is NO complimentary wine or beer tasting at this hotel, however you can purchase wine at $10 a glass if you like. Lets contrast this to the Hampton Inn which has a free breakfast, free wine tasting between 5-7 PM daily, complimentary coffee throughout the day. lets contrast the CY to the Holiday Inn Express that has free beer tasting in the evening, free breakfast and coffee throughout the day. Bottom line is this hotel is pure greed when all around them offer the amenities you have come to expect at any other hotel. Now there are groups that get free breakfast and the royal treatment. It is within the realm of possible if some people can get this. Additionally, there are times when certain hotel employees are not discreet about their relationships with members of these groups. I am not trying to be a hater, but good lord, dont rub it in that you get free breakfast and the girl too…

Room Tip: Rooms on the end have worse wifi coverage
