I always go to this bar with my husband when we visit Paso Robles. It's open late and is located right in the town square. It's not a seedy dive bar (but don't expect fancy) with a rustic charm to it. You will usually find locals, people from the service industry stopping by after their shift, and the occasional tourist (anywhere from Europe to the local Cali tourist). It's a great bar to strike up conversation with locals (who are pretty friendly) or the interesting tourist. It has a large outdoor lounge area that has food trucks on the weekends. They also have live music on many nights. It's a great place to go if you want to see the local scene, have a few drinks after the wine bars close, or if your just crave a beer (I suggest the 805 beer of course) instead of wine. The best thing about this bar is the staff (Tanya is an awesome bartender) and the owner (Ron). Ron is incredibly friendly and makes sure his customers are treated well. They call last call and actually give you time to finish your beer (San Diego needs to take a lesson from them in that respect). Also, he makes sure his customers get a cab (if they can't get one on their own) or has a sober driver always waiting in case their are no cabs to be found. If that's not a responsible bar owner then I don't know what is........Thanks Ron! We will be back!
