“Very Pleased - great accommodations; beautiful grounds; great staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2010

Everyone I saw/met who worked here smiled and greeted me. Very friendly. Had a small issue with the bathroom; called front desk and w/in 5 minutes someone was there to take care of the problem!
Plenty of parking and easy to find the room.
The room was a pleasant surprise -- bed was extremely comfortable and plenty of pillows to be able to sit in bed & read! Too bad I wasn't here during the winter months to take advantage of the fireplace in the room. Large bathroom.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful -- streams run down from pool & hot tub; paths & bridges meander over stream; streams empty into 3 large Koi ponds with HUGE Koi!
Food was good but a bit pricy for what was received...but that was ok because I got to explore other places in the area.
There were 2 things I wish it had -- workout room and internet room but

After checking in at the disgusting Wine Country Inn and refusing to stay there our friends who were booked here had gotten a free upgrade to a suite and invited us to crash with them! This was a beautiful hotel, our suite was really spacious with 5 women! We had our own jacuzzi on the deck which was nice! We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, very tasty, and hung out at the hotel bar on Friday night which had live bands and strong drinks! We had a great time, the grounds are beautiful!

The room we stayed in was in the older building and average at best. Not as quaint as we would have liked.

The sulphur springs spa tubs are wonderful. We live in Paso Robles and come to the spas even though they are just a mile or so from home. We wish they would fix the jets and heaters as it is pretty much a crap shoot as to whether or not you'll get a good one. But we love the waters and so we keep coming back. One of these days my wife and I talk about opening up a spa resort. Who knows...

Very large and comfortable rooms and bathrooms with very comfortable beds. One very nice feature is that the room had a small refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The hotel is well situated just off the town green and is a very easy walk to shops and restaurants.

We booked 4 rooms (tried doing it online to get their advertised special rate but it didn't allow us to, but a phone call worked just fine). The PR Inn has a wonderful location in the middle of the downtown square. Rooms are comfortable, with a large bathroom with double sinks. We loved having the kitchenette area with sink, frig, microwave, coffeepot, and cabiets. I ended up using the cabinets for my clothes as the closet was so close to the other bed. My friend was using that bed so the closet was fine for her. It all was convenient for both of us.
The front desk must have gotten its act together as we had fine service. The location can't be beat. After our days roaming the areas for winetasting, visiting Hearst Castle, it was fun to come back, ditch the cars, and walk to good restaurants. We had delicious dinners at Basil Thai, Artisan, and Bistro Laurent. We bought strawberries at the farmers' market in the park and had our own breakfasts in the room before heading out for our adventures each day.

Front desk was staff have a real attitude problem and this is a shame because the hotel is charming.

Front desk staff (the young lady was a very entitled kid, probably right out of high school) was crass, unprofessional, snotty and argumentative to the point of being abusive to a colleague of mine when she simply when our room would be ready (room was not ready when we arrived and we had to wait 2 hours to check-in).

It seems (as per the other negative experiences) that this is not the first time this has occurred.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Not worth the hassle.
