If the first best location on Pebble Beach is actually on the fairway, than the 2nd best has to be the 2nd floor restaurant of Stillwater. Taken with the absolute beauty of the view we decided to have lunch a light lunch at the restaurant. Good decision. Not only was the view spectacular, so was the food and the service - absolutely top notch.
Without reservations (on a Thursday) we were seated right at the windows that overlook the 18th green of the infamous Pebble Beach course. Everything on the menu was enticing but given we had only eaten breakfast a few hours ago at Roy's at the Inn at Spanish Bay where we are staying we weren't quite that hungry. My wife ordered a lovely salad with smoked salmon and a light vinaigrette dressing - wonderful! I had a corn and crabmeat soup with truffle, also just amazing. Delicious bread with olive oil. Tea for 2 - it was perfect!
And all while watching golfers come onto the 18th green...just wow!
