“Incredible Property and Views”

Perfect for any family with a golfer. In addition to the golf course the venue is relaxing and gorgeous. Attentive staff and excellent dining options for every palate. We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the 18th hole which was right on the water and so gorgeous. Certainly a memorable stop on our trip.

Upon a recent stay at the Lodge at Pebble Beach we stayed in a lovely suite overlooking the 18th green. Nice den with an attached bedroom with a real fireplace (you need it there!). The staff is so very thoughtful and helpful! This was on my husbands bucket list and it hit all the bells and whistles. NOTE those who are wave lovin beach people, the waves are not there in summer. The view is much more a harbor view.

When enormous amounts of money change hands, one would expect a certain value to be a given. This place did not deliver. I had specifically asked for a view of the coast. We were shown a room where the bed looked straight at a wall and the sofa and chairs looked at a fireplace on another wall. To get a view at all involved standing on a very small balcony, which faced the main building, with a sideways glance at the 18th green and a horde of tourists beneath the windows. The extremely nice man tasked with delivering us to our room, agreed and called reception. The next room was a marginal improvement but we had to put up with 2 Queen beds, we had asked for 1 King bed originally, and the whole room was orientated ridiculously badly with the view, again, only visible from a balcony. Who designs these places? As for the interior decor - more sludge, more life-sappingly dreary curtains and covers. We're beginning to think that this is the California way - pretend that the sea doesn't exist and go for the colours of the farmyard. Of course, it was lovely to have a proper wood burning fire which did work exceedingly well and room service and laundry was efficient. So it all should have been bearing in mind the beggaring cost of our two nights at Pebble Beach.

This is a place I've always wanted to visit for it's coastal location but, frankly, there must be better hotels than this on the Californian coast, Torrey Pines for one, if golf is part of your raison d'être. The problem with Pebble Beach is that they allow coach loads of tourists to wander about, clicking cameras and horsing around, and any sense of exclusivity that their prices would lead you to expect are simply annihilated. If you feel like experiencing this location, I'd recommend joining a coach tour from Monterey and save your pennies for somewhere more discreet.

My expectations were extremely high, but this place is everything you expect and more. Quaint atmosphere with world class class, subdued yet overwhelming. The scenery is a given but the service and attitude is unsurpassed.
Our room was just off the first tee and convenient to everything. We spent 3 nights and played 4 rounds of golf, the price of which could choke a blue whale, but you know that going in and IT’S WORTH IT. On the other hand the restaurants are excellent yet their prices are reasonable for the area.
The golf is… well, it’s pebble beach.
WILL GO AGAIN!!!

Room Tip: Scenic room is a premium but worth it

My wife and I stayed here a few days for our anniversary. Every detail beyond expectations. To play Pebble, enjoy a drink watching other players finish on the 18th looking out over the cove toward Carmel, and then walk to our room was a great experience. The rooms are beautiful and have wood burning fireplaces. What really stood out was the hotel staff. We couldn't have been happier with our visit and can't wait to come back.

It's Pebble Beach!!!!! This was a bucket list item for my husband and me. I had high expectations and was not disappointed.

The view from the Lodge onto the 18th green and then the water was stunning.

The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. I expected the Lodge to be a bit snooty and pretentious. Not at all! Most of the guests were as thrilled to be there as we were. The golf displays in the hallways off the main lobby were so fun - especially for a Graeme McDowell fan!

Our room was gorgeous.

There is one restaurant that overlooks the 18th green. We ate breakfast there every morning and dinner one evening....just for the view. But the food and the prices were reasonable for a resort like this.

There is another restaurant with fire pits that overlook the 18th. I highly recommend sitting out there, enjoying a glass of wine and the beautiful views.

From the time you pull up to the front door of the Lodge till you leave the magic begins. The staff is so friendly and polite. You feel like this is truly a once and a lifetime experience. The Pros have stayed here and walked these very halls. The hotel is beautiful. The walls are lined with history. The views from the Lodge are majestic of the 18th green , especially at sunset with a couple of cocktails. Our king room was beautiful with a fireplace and a private hot tub on our back patio. Very romantic. We were there for our anniversary. It was fantastic and that was not even mentioning our golfing experience. The food was excellent at every place we ate in the resort. It was not an inexpensive experience , but I would do it again in a heartbeat. We loved it.
