Pismo is a classic California sleepy beach town. And what classic beach town doesn't have a dive bar that attracts both locals and tourists. Harry's is a quintessential dive bar in the best sense of the word. It offers cheap drinks, lots of seating, people watching extraordinaire, and, on the night we were there, a really excellent 80's funk/soul cover band that had the floor packed with almost every song. This was not a snooty crowd, nor a creepy, scary crowd. There may have been a few old creepy dudes in attendance, but they behaved themselves and just added to the ambiance. Harry's was just a great casual night on the town for folks of all ages wanting to have a good time and maybe get their dance on. Wish there were more Harry's still around.

Average dive bar with a varied crowd on a Thursday night. Cash only! Drinks were a little bit pricey, but were super strong. Two points off for the horrible, open sewer type smell that hits you when you walk in and the absolutely awful, nails on the chalkboard type karaoke that was blaring at about 10,000 decibels. Apparently this is the only place in Pismo to get a drink after about 9 pm....

This bar draws and older crowd but it is definitely a lot of fun. The cover band was horrible. I actually thought it was karaoke night but nope it was a cover band and they were just that bad. I think it made the night funner though. We laughed danced and had a drinks.

If you are in the area, stop in EARLY - after a certain time they charge a cover due to the bands they have nightly. They are one of the few bars that have a dance floor so they get kudos for that. Later in the night it can get a little rowdy. The prices are average and the servers are nice. They do have to have security and fights do break out. Again GO EARLY and Enjoy SAFELY!

One night stop off in pismo beach. V quiet bar on a week night but we made our own fun! Bar man was rude wouldn't say hello, please, thank you or even look at me until I gave him a tip (dont ask me why i gave it) and then he said thanks. Also, there were 16 glasses on our table before the doorman; not the not-busy bar staff, bothered to clear it!!!!
