Came out to Pismo Beach for our 10th wedding anniversary looking for an upscale restaurant for dinner. Found this place on yelp with good reviews, and the menu looked really good, too. So we decided to try it out.
Food, service and location were top notch. Our server, Corey, was super attentive and very personable. He made our night that much better.
Like I said, location is awesome. It's right on the beach with lots of large windows. They also have an outdoor seating area with large window panes that was awesome for viewing the sunset. Only complaint is the hotel/restaurant looks pretty outdated. Carpet on the elevator walls??
Anyway, we started with the oysters Rockefeller, which were very good. We shared the sea venture and a petite filet for dinner. Their signature dish is a mix of fish, shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, and local sausage with saffron rice, and an aromatic tomato fume - delicious!! I highly recommend it - and sharing was perfect. They brought us out two full bowls and at first thought they'd ordered two servings - but no, the dish was so big that splitting it in two was still more than enough for the two of us. With a little room left, we splurged and had the bananas foster - OMG soooo good!!! It's three scoops of banana's foster ice cream over banana bread with sliced bananas, strawberries, pecans and caramel sauce flamed table-side with Bacardi 151. An experience to remember!!
Thank you Corey, and The Sea Venture, for making our anniversary that much better!!

Apart from a fascination with Brussels sprouts (really guys- consider the taste clash with more delicate seafoods) this is a nice place to eat. The menu is predominantly seafood (what do you expect from a restaurant overlooking the beach) but they also do steaks (well according to the husband). The food is good, the view superb and the staff excellent. It's more special occasion than casual eating but we went just because there are only so many burgers & fries you can stand before you really need adult food.

My husband & I came here for dinner one evening while visiting Pismo Beach. It is a hotel restaurant and I sometimes shy away from those but this one had great reviews and we were in the mood for steak. They had a nice wine list which also offered champagne or "sparking wine" which I ordered. I don't remember which vineyard it came from but it was very good.
We both ordered the filet mignon and neither of us were disappointed. They were both a tiny bit undercooked but not enough to send it back. They were juicy and the flavor was delicious. The table was a U shaped booth which overlooked the ocean. We made it there just in time to catch the sunset which was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and service was efficient. We enjoyed our dinner and will go back if we are in the mood for steak next time we are in Pismo Beach.

This restaurant sits on the third floor of the hotel of the same name. It has stunning views over the ocean, and we saw many whales and dolphins throughout the meal, which was fun. The whole restaurant was oooing and ahhhhing! The service is good, and there are a lot o fun drinks. We brought out own wine form a winery we visited that day. There was a corkage fee of $10, which is very reasonable. The menu had lots to choose from, and each dish was really good, and the plating was pretty. This is a solid choice for a lovely dinner in Pismo Beach!
