Easy to find, great reception, great views and very comfy beds. For the budget price offered this was very good value. The walls are well insulated, despite being full the room was a quiet as a mouse both nights. Someone had thought through the layout of the room well with enough room for 2 lots of case to be unpacked. Well done on that point, one of us is always having to kneel on the floor. The indoor pool facility is a little dated and the breakfast really poor both I terms of offering and the room. We are at steamers and thoroughly recommend it.

My husband and I went to the Kon Tiki Inn 20 years ago for our first little get away together, and last weekend we went to the Kon Tiki again celebrating our 18th anniversary. We had the best weekend, the room was very comfortable, roomy and the view was amazing. It was quiet and was the perfect getaway. We hope to be able to stay again very soon.

We have been coming to Pismo for the past six years and usually stay close to the beach. When we would drive by the Kon Tiki Inn, the dated appearance and inability to book online kept us from staying here. Well were we surprised when we decided to give them a shot. Every room has an ocean view and is amazing!! Beds were comfy, king room had a double recliner that was so cozy. Shower and tub combo was great. No microwave but did had a small fridge. The breakfast is your usual carb fest of muffins, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal, sweet rolls, etc with some hard boiled eggs, yogurt, make your own waffles, and apples and bananas. Juice water coffee and tea. Good price for what you are getting.

A sort-of goofy name, and a rather plain appearance. If those things are important, don't stay here. But, EVERYTHING works.

The property is on a cliff overlooking the Pacific. From our room, 202, and balcony, we had a panoramic view of the beach/ocean. The room was very large, King bed, recliner love-seat, desk, bedside stands with lamps, a 40" plus flat screen with cable, and flawless free Wi-Fi. Not a spot of dirt, mold or grunge. The bed was a bit soft for me. The heavy sliding glass door keeps out most of the sounds from the pool/hot tubs, but not the sounds of surf. We heard a bit of sound from the room next door, only because there was a connecting doorway, which was locked. Otherwise, perfectly quiet.

Breakfast is in a room just across the parking lot. It was not crowded, the staff were very attentive, and kept everything well stocked. Hot/cold cereals, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, waffle makers, yogurt, etc. Only thing missing were meats. Reasonable hours for vacationers.

There is a stairway (100 steps) down to the beach. Fairly steep, but manageable. An excellent restaurant, Steamers, is next door. A full service health club is just across the parking lot, and use is FREE.

Staff were uniformly courteous and friendly. After we managed to clog the toilet on Friday evening, the young man from the desk responded within 5 minutes, with his plumber's helper, and fixed the problem with good cheer. He even noticed our Kleenex box was low, and replaced it without our asking. Lastly, three days after leaving, I realized I had left my portable GPS behind in the drawer. I phoned , and within 1 minute the young man confirmed they had found it, and would send it to me, no charge. Amazing.

So, if you want luxury hand soap, lotion, etc. in the bathroom, a huge lobby, marble counters, look elsewhere. If you want a property with a great location, excellent staff, clean comfortable rooms, and a very reasonable price, this is it!

Room Tip: Some prefer a room toward the center of the curved building layout, but these overlook the pool (?noise). Ours was towards the end (202), but was closer to the stairs. Either way, the views are wonderful.

We have a wonderful ocean front room here. The bed is as good or better than my Sleep # at home! Continental breakfast was easily the best setup I have seen in all of my travels. Clean tables, utensils, even the waffle makers were spotless.

The rooms have a decent mini fridge, recliner sofa too. 40" TV was decent. We will be back. Gotta run, have a massage booked at the Athletic Club in 45 minutes.

This inn does not disappoint!
