I had been frequenting this sushi place for several months now. While their sushi isn't great, it's one of the few places you can get "authentic" style ( I say that loosely) traditional Japanese sushi which isn't drenched in sauces or packed in some Korean-styled, California fusion roll weirdness I do know my sushi after living in Japan for eight years.
But, the sushi isn't the main issue. It's the service. Bad, bad service! They have VERY POOR customer service and it seems to be an issue having read some of the reviews. The current heavily-accented Spanish speaking woman with a fake demeanor/air about her needs a lesson on customer service. DO NOT SHOW UP JUST BEFORE CLOSING!!! I can't usually get there until just before 9:00. Tonight I showed up, walked in and while the door was open, a family was seated and a person in front of me was just served, they denied service and said they were closed. It's just not good etiquette to serve a person in front of other customers and then deny the next ones who are standing behind them. If they want to close, they need to lock the door and let those who are still in the restaurant out as they leave. As the sushi isn't that great anyway, I will NOT be returning and told them so. They just lost a frequent customer. Their loss. I prefer eating at Japanese-owned sushi restaurants anyway.
