Our room was sufficient for our needs. Could have used a bathtub and hairdryer. We did have plenty of room, including a kitchenette, so the price was just right. The pool was also not available, due to maintenance. We never did see anyone working on it in the 3 days we were there. It's appearance was so inviting, especially to the youngsters in our family. The continental breakfast had few choices. But overall, the Inn met our needs.

It isn't the Hyatt but then the prices aren't either.
Older motel, clean, slight musty odor if the room is closed up while at work, airs out well. Towels changed daily, linens once a week (i'm on a week to week basis). Vacuumed daily, Large rooms, nice bed, works for me.

The room was HOT, had no fan,and had an unpleasant odor. Upon checkout, I signed my authorization slip for the charges. When I received my credit card statement, they had tacked on an additional $100. The original slip had been "mis punched", but no one ever contacted me about the 'mistake'. I disputed the charge, but after hearing from the manager that I did not pay my 'remaining balance' when checking out, the charges stood. I called the facility several times over the course of 3 months and never got a return call. Not only was the facilty shoddy, but they are dishonest and have terrible communication with 'guests'. Would not recommend, will never go back.

We booked through Expedia and checked in after driving 400-500 miles with little chance of searching for a different hotel. The room smelled old and mist. After intially thinking it was because of the beach, we found the bathroom was the cuase. The pasterboard was rotting away, the grout was moldy and it was moldy around the toilet as well. After being denied a better room, we opened the windows in hopes of airing out. It got a bit cool in March so we tried to turn on the heat. It did not work, and it appeared the heating mechanism had been removed. We called to the office and they said no one would be able to fix it until Monday (This was a Thursday at 10pm and we were checking out on Sunday).
The next moring we checked out and they told us the room was to be renovated on Monday, so they knew the room was unfit.
Avoid if at all possible, at a minimum have a back-up and see the room before accepting

The advantage of this place is it has a great location and price. Other than that it is just average. You can tell they cleaned the room before we arrived, but during our stay they didn't mop the bathroom floor because it had tracks from their shoes. The carpet is dirty, dirty, dirty - but I imagine in a beach location it may be difficult to keep it clean.

The bed had one of those memory foam toppers and it was like sleeping in wet concrete - you sink into it and then it holds you there.

I think the owners/managers could take a little lesson in pride of ownership or curb appeal. This is the only property in the small town of Pismo that has weeds and dirt around it - all others have grass, flowers or plants growing. In the pool area there are two large planters full of dead flowers - not partly green - but really dead like they were from the season prior.

This place isn't horrible, but I wouldn't want to spend more than a night or two here - I would be checking out some of the other hotels in the area that are closer to the beach.
