I normally don't write reviews but I just recently spent a night here with my wife for our 14 year anniversary. The staff was very friendly and greeted us with big smiles. The room was the perfect size and there was a personal hot tub on the balcony. It was right on the beach and two blocks from all the shopping downtown. Loved it!

I recently stayed at the Seaventure with my wife for a last minute getaway. We normally don't stay in Pismo when visiting, but I found a great price and thought why not.

Location: The hotel is located steps from the beach. You couldn't ask for a better spot in town. It is also a block to the pier and the famous chowder spots Pismo is known for.

Rooms: The rooms are a little on the smaller side. It can also get cramped in the bathroom if there are 2 people in there getting ready at the same time. With that being said, they are still comfortable rooms. My wife is picky about her beds (she is 6 months pregnant), but she was satisfied with their beds and was able to enjoy a good nights sleep. I believe there are fireplaces in all of the rooms, which is a nice touch if one wants to cozy up at the end of the day. We had the king room with a hot tub on the balcony. Although we didn't pay for a partial ocean view, we still had one.

Service: Although the service was not horrible, it could have been better. A couple of the front desk girls did not seem too friendly. There are bikes you can use to ride around town, but you aren't allowed to take them on the pier or walking path. We actually rode them to breakfast and lunch on one day.

I forgot to mention that there is a restaurant with amazing views on the third floor. However, we did not eat there so i cannot speak on its quality.

Conclusion: We enjoyed our stay at the Seaventure. Its at a great location, the rooms are good, and the price is well worth it. I would recommend my friends to stay there and will probably do so myself if the wife and I want a getaway to Pismo.

Great beachside hotel. Excellent facilities, free parking, hot tubs, restaurant with a stunning sea view. Wonderful breakfast delivered to our room each day, dinner was also excellent and the nachos on the room service menu were the best we've ever had. Wouldnt hesitate to return if we were ever in the area again!

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Walk right out to the beach, close to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are very small as was the balcony. We had a hot tub on our balcony which we really didn't use as was small and awkward. If you have kids, it would be good for them and would keep them entertained. We were there on a sold out weekend, so maybe other rooms are larger. The room was very, very clean and housekeeping does a great job everyday although they never replaced our shampoo and other toiletries while we were there and we stayed 3 nights. We ordered from the restaurant upstairs dinner to go one night and it was very good. We had spent all day on the beach and didn't feel like dressing to go up and they were very accommodating to prepare to go. Parking is easy and is underground which is great as your car stays cool. Staff was very pleasant and entire property is clean. Try to get a room facing the beach as I think it would have made our stay that much more enjoyable to sit out and watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand and have coffee in the morning if we had had a view. Even though the hotel was sold out our room was very quiet and we weren't disturbed at all. Will definitely consider staying there again should we return.

Room Tip: Definitely get a room facing the beach or you will not have a view at all.

Dear LeavingLV,
Thank you for your very thorough review. You touched a bit on everything, which is greatly appreciated.
I'm sorry you weren't able to enjoy a full ocean view room this visit, but are glad you still enjoyed the cleanliness of our hotel and our great beach front location. We look forward to hosting a future visit of yours, and hopefully in an ocean view room next time!

Sincerely,
SeaVenture Staff and Management

We recently stayed in Pismo Beach for 3 days and choose the SVB Hotel for our stay. It's a nice hotel and right on the beach. Two short blocks from the Pier and close to all the local eatery's. The Hot Tub worked as advertised, but was set at 104, which is bit too hot for us, so we lowered it to 96 and could enjoy it much more. The room was small, but not too cramped. The lighting was a bit dim for my old eyes (all spot lights). It's a bit pricey, but for the 2 nights, we accepted it. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We noticed our mini-fridge was a bit too warm when we arrived, called the front desk and the young lady told us she would be right up to fix it, and delivered. Apparently the fridges go into a defrost mode and need a little help cooling again (all good). Plenty of covered parking. Overall a nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms toward the front have a better chance of an ocean view.

Dear Ken S,
Thank you for your review, and for choosing SeaVenture for your accommodations in Pismo Beach. We also appreciate the nice photos that you've added. You took some stunning shots.
We do set all hot tubs to a temperature of 104, but am happy to cool them for any guest who wishes to have them cooler. Next time feel free to let us know ahead of time, or call the front desk to cool it down for you. We are happy to accommodate.
We look forward to seeing you again in the future!
Sincerely,

Stayed here two nights on a coast road trip. The rooms are not over large but very clean and comfortable. There's not great storage in the rooms, there's no room safe and no air conditioning but there is a ceiling fan. It wasn't too hot during our stay so opening the patio doors worked fine. We had the double double rooms so had our own hot tubs but no sea view. The hot tubs are at the basic end of the range but still well worth having (except when the neighbouring room lets their kids play in them till nearly one in the morning- just rude!). Our rooms were at the back of the hotel and there was some early morning noise when the bins were emptied. The doors on the TV cupboard do not open fully so it can mean that only one bed can see the TV (the chairs in room are not great) but this did not worry us as we do not watch much tv. The in room breakfast service is great. The reception staff seem a bit abrupt but were very happy to help when asked so maybe it's just the way here. We used the massage service at the hotel and thoroughly recommend it. A nice change to get a male masseur too (I know some men prefer this so don't be shy, ask for Larry). If the budget allows take the sea view rooms but be sure to get your hot tub as not all rooms have them.

Room Tip: Go for sea view or partial sea view if you can, check you are getting a hot tub though!

We loved our overnight stay here. We upgraded to a side sea view room with hot tub on the balcony . The room had everything we needed and was very clean. Breakfast in a basket delivered to the room was very good and well presented. We ate in the restaurant overlooking the beach and sea. The food was lovely here and reasonably priced for the quality. The side of lobster was excellent. They have a formidable wine list, we chose a flight as it was difficult to choose. The explanation of the wines by the server was outstanding. Service here , nothing was too much trouble.

Room Tip: Sea view with hot tub
