Also known as Robin's Nest Ranch. Off the beaten path and away from the noise. Lovely historic home site. Mark & Robin are wonderful hosts and made a great breakfast, be prepared to be hungry! Let them know in advance if you just want the light breakfast alternate. The welcoming treat basket is filled with nice goodies. We love animals and the horses are very friendly. We didn't notice any "horse odors". Loved the bray of the donkey.....Robin thoughtfully provided additional info on the area, as we aren't that familiar with the area. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and hope you do too! Thank you Mark & Robin

Room Tip: The bunk house is pet friendly, so we stayed in one side. This side did not have an enclosed shower...

My boyfriend and I spent a weekend here this summer and it may be the best bed and breakfast I've ever been to. We were hunting for a last-minute reservation and got lucky with this one. The price was right, so we gave it a shot and we're both really glad we did. The location is perfect, just out of the way, but close to the super cute downtown Placerville and Apple Hill with plenty of wineries, etc. The house is old with history, but very well maintained. The ranch it's on is green and full of life and absolutely lovely. The whole place is PERFECT if you need to get away and relax. We stayed in the Flower Basket Room, which I highly recommend. The shared balcony was just where I wanted to be in the mornings and evenings. I kind of wish we would have splurged the extra bit for the Lover's Fancy. That room has plenty of space and a giant tub. At first glance the bed didn't seem like much, but it was firm and cozy and I slept like a baby. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic (Oh, the french toast!) and, one of the most critical aspects of any B&B, we loved the owners. Robin is an absolute sweetheart and they were both so welcoming and fun to chat with. Love, love, love everything about this place.

Room Tip: Love the balcony that the Flower Basket room & the Lover's Fancy share. The Lover's Fanc...

My best friend and I stayed a night at the Fleming Jones B&B after wine tasting in the Amador wine country. Robin and Marc were fabulous hosts! The room in the Bunk House was cozy and had a deck out the back that overlooked the miniature horse pasture. Robin had baked lemon cake in the evening which was wonderful as we sipped tea and gazed at the stars.

Breakfast was delicious and followed by a tour of the property which has a fascinating history dating back to the 1800s. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Room Tip: The Bunk House was great. Detached from the main house and had a lovely deck with table and chairs

FJH B&B is a working miniature horse ranch and offers its visitors a truly unique B&B experience. We stayed in the Woodshed Room in the Bunkhouse. Warning --the bathroom is only separtated from the bedroom by a curtain in this room only. Also, horses do smell--something I am used to having lived near horses for 18 years. Our room was very clean, had a super comfortable queen size bed, nice fluffy robes were provided and a large deck with rocking chairs off the back overloooking the horse paddock and nearby tree covered hillside. A great place to start the day listening to bird calls with a fresh strong cup of Peets coffee. Watching Ned the baby mini-horse wake up, stretch his legs and frolick is possibly the cutest thing you will ever see. Also a great place to end the day, watching the sunset and the small, agile local bats dive for insects--very cool! Later at night the deck was the perfect place for star gazing too! Our hosts Robin and Mark were the nicest folks you will ever meet--very personable and accomodating. They are knowledgeable about the local history, restaurants, wineries and are a pleasure to talk with about any number of topics including world travel. Breakfast was huge and delicious! Robin's fresh baked goods were especially fine as well as the fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, potatos, etc. Last but not least, the four Pharm dogs and cat were a treat! Mostly rescued animals they all had unique personalities and ,all but one, appreciated a friendly pat, scratch behind the ears or belly rub. FJH B&B is a little slice of heavan on earth!
