Glen Morey comes very high on hospitality but is let down by being somewhat jaded around the edges. We were in the Edinburgh Room which whilst comfortable was rather dark and oppressive. This could really be improved by lightening the colour scheme. The over abundance of bric-a-brac could do with 'culling' as they only act as dust gatherers.
This lovely old house could be so much more if the level of cleanliness (grubby carpets, dust and cobwebs) was raised and the garden area given a facelift. The guest lounge is welcoming and comfortable but here the former comments apply also.
All this aside we had a pleasant stay but would like Glen Morey to raise its game with a few improvements. It deserves to be so much better.
