This was the highest ranked Chinese restaurant on Yelp in Pleasanton so we thought we'd give it a try. The environment was worn and depressing and not so clean. The food was bland and less than mediocre. I had the sezchuan fish as I was told by the waiter it was spicy. Not much flavor, the fish was deep fried with mushy coating. Fried rice was bland and lobster sauce prawns were bland. Service was good and friendly.

“Fresh Szechuan Loved by Locals”
Reviewed 14 February 2014 via mobile

Serving up fresh, traditional Szechuan Chinese. Their 'House Favorites' Spicy Seafood Soup Noodles are so flavorful in a spicy broth. Friendly, fast service with food delivered sizzling hot from the wok. They even deliver at night. Not to be confused with the other 'First Hunan Chef' in downtown.

“very bland food.”
Reviewed 17 May 2013

I had moo shu chicken. It was very bland, did not have great flavor, I was not impressed with the plum sauce. The kitchen is totally in view of the diners, not particulary attractive
