We didnt even know this place existed and we were pleasantly surprised when we pulled in. Kenneth (owner) greated us within seconds. We stayed in a king bed room. It was a great price. The room was modern, had open windows, nice furnitre, great layout and very very clean!! Continental breakfast was standard but very good. We came towards the end and it was still fully stocked
Will definitely be staying here again! !!

My husband and I have stayed there several times and love it. The rooms are large and the entire inn is very clean. Free breakfast with the room. Pool and hot tub have a nice view, as well as the rooms. Close to wine tasting and the fair. The managers are awesome.

Room Tip: We have stayed in a double queen and a king, both are nice. Views are nice too.

We found this place after one of the local national chains said they wouldn't hold our luggage and bikes so we could go wine tasting. The Inn was rated pretty well so we thought to give it a try. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot we knew we found something special. The grounds were well manicured and clean. We met Ken and were in our room 15 min later. Although we visit this area often Ken has a wealth of local knowledge to share. Our room was modern, clean and very spacious. We went wine tasting for a couple hours and returned to use the spa and pool. The spa has a great view of the rolling hills to the east. This area was also well maintained. Our next trip to the Amador region we will definitely be staying here!

Room Tip: We had bicycles so we needed a ground floor room but Ken told us next time to request an upstairs ea...

Stayed for the first time here and loved it. The room was large, attractively furnished, and very clean. Everything looked new. Ken and Marie are delightful hosts--they couldn't be any nicer. The view is spectacular. There's a great barbeque for guests to use out by the pool and spa. The free breakfast was just icing on the cake at this great motel. I will be back!

This is the second time we stayed here. I again was surprised how nice it is and reasonable the rates are. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are large and very very clean. They even serve a little breakfast that was simple but nice. They knew it was our anniversary and they gave us a nice bottle of local wine. That was very sweet of them. I highly recommend this motel.

Having last stayed here several years ago, when the place was showing its age and a lack of care, I was surprised, and pleased, to see its freshened appearance and much higher standards of cleanliness. The large rooms were well laid out, nicely if modestly decorated, comfortable and very clean. The staff was welcoming and friendly. This is a good base for exploring Amador County wineries and historic spots. The only faults I'd note are the limited and too basic breakfast offerings (packaged pastries, fruits, limited selection of yogurt--and no protein offerings to speak of), and the unprepossessing exterior of the buildings.

We have been staying at Shenandoah Inn for the last 10 years on our annual trip to Amador County. Ken and Maria bought the Inn a few years back and have done outstanding improvements to both the rooms and the property. They are gracious hosts and always make sure that we are enjoying our stay.
We travel alot and will always return here each year to enjoy the outstanding Cabs & Zins that are produced in the region.

Room Tip: Rooms facing to the east have an excellent view of the hills and it is fun to watch the cows form a...
