We have stayed at the Shenandoah Inn several times, the latest being 3/21/14. Each visit we find the accommodations improve and the staff friendlier than before. The rooms are large, the bed very comfortable , the service great. They are pet friendly and have a grass area just for pets.
The manager is a Marine Corp veteran and he is most helpful and caring person we have met.
We thank him for serving our Country and returning home to manage this facility!!

Room Tip: All rooms are sufficiently removed from the highway that noise is not a problem

We love this place! It is remodeled and beautiful! Huge rooms... Really comfortable beds! The view from the huge picture window is a hilly country side with cow's grazing. The Inn is only 2-3 miles from the wineries, and one mile from the best gourmet restaurant "Taste" in down town Plymouth.
We always stay here because they accept dog's ! There is a large lot for dogs to run around . They serve a simple but good breakfast. You can't beat the reasonable rates!
Looking forward to another trip soon!

Room Tip: We always stay on the ground floor...never hear noise from upstairs or next door. I think all the ro...

Great family run hotel. Rooms are very large, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. The back wall of our room was all windows and looked out on green rolling pastures.....beautiful! The entire staff is absolutely super nice and the owner/operator, an ex-marine hires disabled vets. The location is ideal as you are minutes away from a ton of wineries, short drive to Amador City, Sutter Creek, and Jackson. Go....Stay....Enjoy!!

Room Tip: Ask for a view of pastures.

The stay was a very pleasant experience. Our room was very spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Great customer service from owner. Several dinning options nearby. The Jackson Rancheria Casino is less than 20 minutes away. Beautiful views! The quietness and peace of location was tranquilizing! We woke up well rested and came home energized. We will definitely stay in Shenandoah INN again! Absolutely recommend to stay if you're in the area.

Found this Inn on tripadvisor and booked a room via their website. Room was large but with no closet, Great view of the pasture and rolling hillside. Owner/manager Tim was a bit 'INTENSE". We had a GDB puppy in training with us and the first thing he did when my wife walked in with our dog was to verbally assaulted her asking if puppy had been relieved on his lawn. For a "dog friendly" motel his need to protect his front lawn was a bit intimidating. They have a nice potty spot for the dogs with clean up material and garbage can close at hand. We had two Queen beds which were nice but a bit bouncy. While sitting on my bed out puppy started playing with something under the chair next to the table in the room. When I investigated I found an empty Vodka bottle from a previous guest. I would say the clean up folks missed something pretty big. The "GREAT" continental breakfast was nice but to many carbs and white stuff for us to return our 2nd morning. The hot tub was nice but not very hot. Also a honey bee hive must been nearby as the tub was full of bee's when I got in. I did my best to rescue as many as I could. The down side is the noise from next door the 2nd night and the noise of the US Govt folks leaving at 2:00AM the first night dragging all their gear down the stair was very disappointing. Why hotels that are not full can't place folks in rooms that are not adjoining is unbelievable. Tim did have a 10% discount coupon for the Mexican restaurant next door which was OK. Our bathroom fan did which I reported to the office. It was never repaired and no offer to move us to a different room. The service staff was nice and when I ask for additional coffee packets for the 2nd morning I got extra and a check up from the staff to be sure I did get my extra coffee. Overall it was an OK place but it's lack of noise abatement between rooms, the limited breakfast options will most likely not have me returning to this location. I will stay in Sutter Creek and make the drive next visit.

Room Tip: If you want a view then stay in the wing to the right of the office.

We were very impressed with the Shenandoah Inn. We have be going there for years whenever we are traveling near Amador county. The new owners and the Management staff have made wonderful changes to the property. It has been upgraded and looks lovely. Very, very clean and the staff are friendly and very helpful. A must stay if you are going to visit the Shenandoah valley wine country!

Room Tip: Choose one on the 2nd floor around the middle of the building with the pasture view. It is lovely.

Excellent Inn, with a great view of the rolling valley and trees! Impeccably clean and comfortable room with lots of room. Great customer service from these owners and we will definitely return in the future. There are very few places to stay in this area that are of this quality for the price. Thanks Marie for your attention to detail!

Room Tip: Room 115 was great!
