This little place is a knockout with homemade burgers of every variety and topping and at least 30+ 8oz shake flavors that isn't it's own meal, (but there is a much larger one) service and staff are great, fast, friendly. Prices are very affordable. 1st choice is eat outside, but the inside is all knotty pine! WINNER AND #1!

If you are making the run to or from the bay area to Tahoe this place is a great stop off the beaten path about halfway there. It takes you back to the hamburger stands of the 1950's with a simple menu, good service and outstanding burgers. This place puts the chain burger joints to shame as I actually enjoyed being there and enjoyed the food. The outdoor seating area is dog friendly and misters kept it cool as the day was a hot one. A definite stop on the way up or down the hill.

Dropped in this evening, famished, and filled up on crispy onion rings, a solid burger, and a blended soda float. Is it 5 star Michelin dining? No. However, if you're looking for a solid dinner, here's a good place.

While the staff are nice enough, sometimes it's not enough to keep you coming back, if though you want to keep giving them chances. The food is usually extra greasy, even for a burger place, the onion rings way over-crisped every time and the milkshakes poorly sweetened with horrific choices of coffee syrup flavorings. The fries are ok at least. In closing, literally, the place is rarely open past six, making it hard to visit if you are working late or need a later dinner.

Sorry to here the food was over cooked. Do you happen to remember what day you were there. If my cook is over cooking the food it needs to be addressed, It is hard to correct something that I don't no about until reading it online. Not sure what days you have tried to come in but the only day we close before 7 is Sunday. Closed Monday Tues-Thurs 11-7 Fri-Sat 11-8. Again I am sorry you had this experience. I have worked very hard at my busy and really hate to here my employees are working against my hard work :(

I like this place because you can make your burger as big or small as you want. Different kinds of fries, GF options, and according to my grandkids the best milkshakes. Nice little local place to have lunch.
