The Vietnamese dishes here is at best average (you only need to go a bit South to Orange County to experience much better Việt food), but it is adequate, and portions are generous. So it is very popular with college students (especially those at the Claremont Colleges a few blocks away), and all those in search of good-value meals. The large phở portions can feed growing youngsters who have been starving themselves for a few days. Avoid the spring rolls (chả giò) - they are kind of horrible and not authentic.
